This beautiful eco-station in a rural community in the Osa Peninsula will take your breath away. No many communities here can offer you a combination of culture and nature as ours. It's worth it.
Our house was built as a Biological Station were visitors can learn from nature as they enjoy relaxing vacations.
We are located near a whitewater river (Rincon river), just 4 Km from Indigenous community, 4 Km from Corcovado National Park boundary and 8 Km from Los Patos Ranger Station.
We have a canopy tour nearby, 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes in a taxi. We have around chocolat tour, birdwatching tours, waterfall, gold panning in the goldminers community among many others.
At the house you will find a big open dinning hall, spacious bathrooms , a charming kitchen and several decks where you can hang out and read books.
I am a failry travelled biologist and I love to share my vision with people from around the world.
Let me welcome you in our house (+ husband and 3 dogs) and show you the Pura Vida style!
You will have access to our open kitchen and dinning hall, as well as the Monkey Trail, an educational small trail where you will learn all about monkeys.
Interaction with Guests
I am here most of the time. I am very sociable and I like to know my guests but I also respect the ones that like to be secluded :)
This is a typical rural community. With a grocery, a soccer field, small church, public phones, school and lots of lovely people.
If you like to play soccer or watch people play you can't miss the daily match at 4 pm in our community's soccer field
you can get here only by taxi, but it cost no more than $6. Then you will be located conveniently in the main highway where you will find public transportation to other locations in the Osa Peninsula.
Other Things to Note
We are just right next to Corcovado and the Ngobe Indigenous Reserve.
No smoking in bedrooms or the property. Smoking in the front gate allowed.
We expect guest respect we live in a neighborhood as well next to the forest so be silent after 10 p.m - 11 p.m would be a good idea to respect both people and nature.
Pets are admitted if you are the only guests at the house.
My husband and I stayed at Daniela's place during the last stretch of our honeymoon in Costa Rica. When we turned onto her road she was out front right away to greet us. Her place is so cool. You definitely get the feel that you are in the rainforest when you are staying at her place. Everything was clean and we loved her outdoor kitchen. She gave us suggestions for our stay.We really enjoyed hanging out with her and getting to know her.
Daniela is a great host.
I am from Costa Rica, I live in the rainforest. I love languages and learn them fast. I lived in France when I was little. I am a biologist and study monkeys, and I have a passion to teach other what I know about and for sure you will learn a lot of Costarican culture and the Osa Peninsula history while here. We know the most adventurous hidden places. I travel every year. This is my Saimiri Eco-Station in the Osa Peninsula.
