The ceilings on the first floor (2nd floor U.S.) all feature wooden beams.
The apartments are decorated in a Venetian red color-scheme.
The Venice City can be divided in three distinct parts: the historic center of Venice, the islands of the Lagoon of Venice and the districts on the mainland.
The "Al Giardino Apartments" are located in Venice- Favaro, on the mainland towards the edge of the city area, close to Mestre and within the metropolitan boundary.
The location, within easy reach of Venice itself and near the centre of Mestre, allows you to enjoy the marvels offered by the ancient city without having to suffer the costs and disadvantages.
The city of Venice cannot, in fact, be visited by car but only on foot or using water transport.
The bus stop of the public bus service ACTV, which you can use to reach both the city of Venice itself and Mestre, is a few steps from the "Al Giardino Apartments" complex.
For those arriving by train, the bus service provides a connection from both Venice- Santa Lucia and Venice- Mestre stations.
There are similar connections, for air travellers, from Venice- Marco Polo International and Venice- Treviso airports and, for those arriving by sea, from the Port of Venice Cruise and Passenger Terminal.
The apartments are located a few minutes drive from the Mestre motorway link road ("Tangenziale"), and the A4 motorway, and are easy to reach from the principal trunk and motorway road systems of north Italy.
Muy buena experiencia. El estudio esta muy bien. Todo amueblado, y el anfitrión muy servicial, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Me dio gran información el primer día. Repetiré
I was very disappointed with this booking. Firstly, for someone that doesn't know Venice, the address is misleading, this is actually in Maghera (a small town nearer the airport) and costs about 38 euros by cab from Venice - it has a bus service that only goes until about 10pm and it took me about 35 mins by car to get here from Venice. I arrived at the b and b and had to wait 20 minutes for Giannis daughter to let me in, (when I called earlier to say I was coming she put the phone down on me and said she would call me back in five minutes and didn't, so I had to ring her again). She then showed me into a tiny , very basic room (I had booked an apartment) and there was a mistake with the booking, she also can't speak english. This room would probably be ok for a student on a budget but I had booked the nice looking apartment which had been taken by someone else. Gianni arrived and booked me into a local hotel and agreed to refund me (which he did) but I spent even more money getting back from this hotel to venice by cab in the morning for work. All in all I would have been better off booking a hotel in central Mestre and saving on cabs and inconvenience and spending more on a decent hotel. I was exhausted by the time I got to the second hotel (it was about 9pm) and very unhappy I had decided to book into this place. Gianni was helpful in booking another hotel and refunding me but it was not a good experience and one I would not want to repeat.
My elderly mother told me that "the world is beautiful because each person is different”, but in this case, we have the impression that Emma is "too much" different!
Well, I intent, with a little patience to understand, to correct and to explain what happened.
1. To begin, we are not in Venice-Marghera, we are in Venice-Favaro as you can see on (website hidden) Maps also present in our page in AirBnB. Venice-Favaro is a district of the City of Venice (as you can see in Wikipedia), is located in the Venice Mainland and is connected to the historic center of Venice with the urban bus service number 19 which, at the ticket cost of Euro 1.30, takes about 15 minutes to make the journey. We tried to explain it to Emma, but it seems that we have not been successful ...
2. If Emma, instead of taking the city bus number 19 at a cost of Euro 1.30, instead wanted to take a taxi and pay Euro 38.00, what responsibility do we have? We are good guys, but we have no power over the taxi of Venice and their cost :-)!
3. When Emma arrived, my daughter asked her to wait 10 minutes to check in, because I was busy with other guests in another check in. A 10 minute wait for a check-in is a very serious problem? I do not think so ...
4. When I met Emma seemed to me as I said before "too different" or perhaps in a high state of stress ... She told me that she worked at the Cinema Biennale in Venice-Lido as a makeup artist and that she was accustomed to high standards in terms of housing. He was also angry because we found ourselves far from Venice-Lido. I do not know what to say: we never said or written on our website or on AirBnB that we are in Venice-Lido!
5. When I realized that it was impossible to speak in accordance with the minimum standards of logic, I decided to return the money and help Emma to book a other hotel with "high standards" of accommodation: also I am committed also to accompany Emma with my car, free of charge, to the new hotel.
6. Emma saw on my computer a hotel that she liked, I phoned the hotel and booked it for her, I took her to the new hotel and I returned the money to Emma.
I take the liberty of small considerations .
A. If a person wants to stay in Venice-Lido can book in Venice-Lido and pay for its high cost, or can book into a different area of the city at a lower cost. It certainly can not claim to book at low cost and at the same time complain because the low cost area is far from Venice -Lido.
B. If a person wants to stay in five star book why book in AirBnB wich is a site that offers low- cost, spend low cost and then complain that the service is not five stars?
1. I have returned the money
2. I helped Emma to find another hotel
3. I booked for she
4. I took her back to the hotel at no extra cost .
What else could I do?
Peace and love to all by Gianni, Venice, Italy!
The experience in this apartment did Not accomplish the expectations. In particular the location, the reception, and Wi Fi.
THE APARTMENTS IS VERY EKONOMIKAL AND OK LOKATED,.IT S CLOSE TO VENICE(15-20 MIN)WITH BUS ,ITS CLEAN UND ORGANIZED
The apartment was well designed, practical. It's pretty cheap for what you get. I especially liked the excellent lights everywhere, mostly you need to look for good reading lights, here no problem light everywhere. Unfortunately not everything worked. Most important for me: The Wifi could not be used in the apartment I booked but only in the garden of the B&B a street further. But I would not have booked the apartment if I knew I could not get Wifi in the apartment itself, it was an amenitie menitoned in the list. The breakfast was fine for me, a lot to choose and fresh milk in the fridge, nice. Due to the busstrike I lost a lot of time and money (expensive taxi) to arrive in Venicecenter and get back to the B&B in the evening. So then the bustrip turned to be the downside of the location. I know Venice, but the map provided by the Apartment was still very usefull for the shops and restaurants nearby the apartment. To be able to buy groceries and food nearby the apartment was the upside of the location.
Ciao Antoinette, thanks for the positive comments! With regard to the strike of the bus we are sorry for the inconvenience, but we have no power to control the strikes in Italy :-). Regarding the lights, unfortunately it can happen that one of the twelve chandeliers that comes with the apartment has the light bulb that does not work: in another time simply notify us immediately and we change the bulb. As for the WiFi sorry for the misunderstanding: the announcement of this apartment has been added recently and we have not yet settled the great information. In fact, we have WiFi available at the bed and breakfast that is close to the apartment, but does not always work in the apartment itself: thanks to your information, we will try to include this service in the pages AirBnB in a more precise and better explained. If you come to visit us on another occasion have no problems to contact us if you have any problem, we are always willing to work things out as soon as we get asked, clearly not what concerns the strikes in Italy :-)! Ciao e ... arrivederci a Venezia!
Visited Venice for two days. Apartment is situated 30 min by bus from the historical center, bus stop right in front of the building (till midnight). The apartment is less spacious than pictured, but very clean and equipped with a comfortable shower and an espresso machine. Enjoyed our stay, be aware of the 'city tax' (€3.5 per day) which is not included in the list price.
Hello Daan! Thanks for the comment! I just want to point out two things. The route from our B&B to the historic center of Venice is takes only 15 minutes by bus no. 19, as can be seen also in the official website of the transport company ACTV Venice. We regret that it has taken you 30 minutes to make the journey, but in the days when you were our guest there is construction underway at the Ponte della Libertà for the installation of new tram tracks that have caused delays in bus lines connecting the Old Town to the mainland. It 'was an exceptional case, usually the bus is the way in just 15 minutes. With regard to the tax of the City of Venice, is excluded from our price as in all the prices of all other hotels and B&Bs in Venice: this we explain well in our page on AirBnB and in the answers we do to those who asks availability. The fee is still very low: it is equal to Euro 0.90 per person per night in high season and € 0.45 per person per night in low season (you price of Euro 3,60 is for 2 persons/2 nights). It costs less than a cup of coffee in a bar :-)!
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
