I'm an urban gardener and a foodie, ask me and I'll tell you all the great spots to get grubs in this wonderful city...
PS. If you are allergic to dogs this place won't work. I share joint custody of two adorable dogs, they can be arranged to stay away, or stay with, depending on how much you like them. However, even though I vacuum between each guest and can keep the dogs away, there are still going to be some dog hair around the house.
Other Things to Note
I have garden fresh vegetable and eggs. You can buy them or are welcome to help out in the garden for exchange. I feed my girls the best organic feed purchased from a coop so, if you want eggs, please kindly contribute to the feed as they are rather pricy :)
I have a well stocked kitchen, and a projector for movie watching. You are welcome to share all common area, please cleanup after yourselves. The one time cleaning fee of $50 is meant to cover the required cleaning before and after you leave, it is not meant for ongoing housekeeping services during your stay.
I had a brilliant time staying with Tara. Her place is perfect for seeing all the sights and sounds San Francisco has to offer, a short walk to the bus stop in a nice neighbourhood makes it very easy to get around. Tara's place is very clean, comfortable and easy to relax in. Tara is really helpful and very friendly, she invited me out to watch live music, eat, and walk her cool dogs, I felt right at home and would definitely stay here again if I revisit San Francisco.
Tara was an amazing host, and extremely easy to get along with! My trip was made so much better thanks to her local insight on places to go. Thanks again for the hospitality, and also taking me out for dinner! :)
Tara was a wonderful host for my two month stay! She was incredibly welcoming and kind and made me feel at home. Sometimes she shared chai tea and told me of events or good restaurants. She is very easy to get along with. The space itself is a spacious room with a lovely bed, great closet space, and a nice desk to use as well. The dogs Daisy and Mitz are adorable (Mitz is always full of energy!).
The room was clean and spacious and Tara was awesome! Very friendly, made an excellent chai tea for us before leaving, and gave us good tips on the city I definetely recommend staying here! :)
thanks for the great experience and all the tips given on SF transportation system! It was a pleasure to spend these two days in the "Farm in the City", and to have exquisite fresh eggs for the breakfast!
Unfortunately, I had not the pleasure to meet the two dogs, who certainly look adorable in the picture.
The room was really comfortable, I had excellent sleep before catching my plane back home.
This was my first experience using AirBNB and I will most certainly use it again. Tara was quick with her responses to my questions even though she was out of he country. She gave some great recommendations for food in the area. We ate at Herbivore and it was fantastic...I wish there was one back at home! Chait(her ex) was the one who greeted us and he was most accommodating with what time we arrived and helpful with transportation advice. We had the pleasure of meeting her 2 doggies and they were quiet and friendly. Tara's place is adorable and the bed was very comfortable. Although it is not located in down town you can easily get there by bus. Thank you Tara and Chait for making this experience easy and affordable!
My husband and I spent 5 nights here in July. The comfortable, lived-in atmosphere of the house was just right for us. The garden and chickens in back can be viewed from the deck, overhung by grape vines. Perfect place to enjoy the cool breezes of San Francisco, and we had fresh eggs for breakfast. The house is close to John McClaren Park, the second largest park in the city. We enjoyed walking there and saw numerous hummingbirds. To get downtown we took the 8x (express) bus that goes through Chinatown. The bus was packed, so if you don’t want that experience consider taking Sidecar or a taxi. And by the way, the dogs are friendly and fun. We so enjoyed this unique home stay.
