The Space

Leopoldo Bed & Breakfast is a real home away from home. Sit back and relax in the laid-back atmosphere, colorful interior and hearty hospitality of this charming Florence B&B. You’ll enjoy great service, superior quality, a central location, free WiFi, air conditioning, as well as parking (15€/night...try to beat that in Florence!) all for a really affordable price.

Each room has its own theme, with its furniture, its colors and its features to discover!

The Glass Room is is a large double bedroom modern design with its own bathroom and the possibility of a agigungere exra bed. Tutt recommended for our younger guests.

My name is Danilo, and I run this Bed & Breakfast in Florence with my colleagues Chiara and Valentina. We really love our work because it allows us to share our lives with people from all over the world! We work hard to maintain our B&B at its best, and we take great satisfaction in seeing our customers enjoy their holidays. We try to provide the highest service at the right price, because quality is our top priority!

Each morning in the common room between 8:00 and 10:00, we are delighted to serve our guests a typical Italian breakfast with milk, juice, pastries, toast, marmalade, nutella, biscotti, fruit, coffee/cappuccino, cereal, and cake. There’s no better way to start your tour of the city!

  • We loved our stay in Florence! The apartment was just as expected. Very clean and spacious with room for the kids and a nice classic Italian kitchen. We were on the basement level, so just a few steps down from the street level. It was within walking distance to the main historic attractions in town, yet far enough away that it was quiet at night. Walking back to the apartment each night, we always felt safe.

  • Simply perfect. The location and amenities were superb. Amazing views if the arno, ponte vecchio, & uffizi. The host was most kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to all.

  • It was a comfortable stay. Nice & big flat. Partially located underground, but If you want to spend much time in the streets of Firenze it is not a problem.
We didn't meet our host Danilo or heer something from him there. However Marzia, the lady who we met there, was very helpful and attentive. The tips about the city, which we received from her were perfect, especially the restaurants.
The location is not very central, please know that minumum 20-25 minutes walking distance from the center, depending on where you are. In the mornings walking to the centre is not an issue, but at night when you are tired it can be really an issue. However taxi is possible for 8-10 €, Firenze is not a big city.

  • We stayed at Danilo's place as a group of five. The place was quite nice and clean. Getting the keys from him was no problem. The location was ideal for us as we were attending a conference nearby 10-15mins walking distance. We also enjoyed the backyard in one of the evenings. Danilo also was nice enough to give us extra couple of hours for us to check out before the cleaning lady comes in. The only issue we had with the location was that the wifi was really spotty. We could only access it from the living room and it would work fine only if one person was trying. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

  • We were driving from Rome, and lost count of time, checked in the place at 7:30pm, and we were charged extra 30 euro for it (it was clearly listed in the description, so please be reminded of it). We checked in without problem, they were helpful. they even helped us to communicate with the public car park staff which was very good. the location is great, it's very central of florence.

BUT, when i booked the apartment, i had impression it was private owned, but it was actually owned by an agency, so that was a minus for us, i wanted something more personal and less business. what made me a bit disappointed and actually pissed is that the bed is not clean, it had some kind of bed bug that left RED SWOLLEN SPOTS on my hand for 2 weeks. i know it's bug not mosquito cause it happened to me before. they didn't use duvet cover, only a "clean" sheet underneath the was surprisingly disgusting.

  • We loved staying in this apartment. Everything was so convenient from the apartment. It was at the center of everything. Though it is several floors up, the walk up to the apartment was worth it. The amenities were just right. We are grateful that when we checked in, we were shown the sites to visit in Florence but what we are really glad about is that they told us about the leather market. We didn't know about the leather market before this trip. We could have just easily bought our leather bags from the corner near the apartment but showing us the leather market was the best tip we got.

We will definitely consider staying here again.

  • Amazing location in the heart of Florence only meters from Piazza della Signoria. Brand new with all modern fit out but in a great old building. The hosts are wonderful and and attentive. It was perfect for our family of four. Highly recommend.

I arrived in Florence from southern Italy (Salento) 11 years ago. After finishing University, I discovered my passion for hospitality when I decided to open Bed & Breakfast Leopoldo. I am a big fan of motorcycle racing (I have a Ducati Monster 620ie) and I love to spend time with friends. There is nothing I like more than to ensure that all of my guests feel right at home in Florence! I know that you are going to spend some time in a new city, and I want to do as much as possible to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
