The City of Canterbury is easily accessible via Train or Bus, and London is only 25 minutes away (via Ashford International Station).
Lovely little cottage to stay at. Short walk from the village square with picturesque walks. Great perks like breakfast, iPad and Netflix, making it easy for us to easily search the local restaurants and attractions!
Lovely cottage in a very pretty village. Super convenient for the village hall (we were at a wedding there). We stayed with our 2 small children and Liz and Neil couldn't have been more accommodating. Cottage is very well equipped and the hosts are impressively organised. Thank you for a great stay.
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting, the owners were really helpful and there were nice little touches like toast and jam! The cottage was only 50 metres from the village hall where our best friends were getting married, it couldn't have been more perfect for the short stroll home after too much champagne! Thanks again, we would highly recommend :)
Our stay in Liz's cottage was perfect. A very pleasant place where we felt like "at home". Chilham is a charming typical village, just a few minutes by car from Canterbury. We will surely be back in this little gem. Thank you to Liz for all the little touches that made our stay so special.
Lovely place for a peaceful getaway. We had a quiet, restful stay. Thank you
Chilham is a delightful village and the location suited us well. We enjoyed our 2 nights but far from a "Deluxe Cottage" or B & B. Comfortable short-stay accommodation with an historic feel.
Disappointed by the washing machine being out of service.
Neil (Liz was working) kept in touch while we were on our way and made finding the cottage easy. We very much got the feeling that we could ask any question and get a helpful reply quickly which was great.
The cottage is lovely - just right for a short break for two - and was well equipped and stocked nicely for breakfast, too.
The location is excellent - Chilham is a lovely pretty village with good pubs. We ate in the White Horse on Friday night, less 'foodie' than the Woolpack, I think, but friendly with good pub grub. We had a dog the size of a horse under our table for a while!
Good walking in the local area, too.
Canterbury is easy to get to and we also went up to Herne bay and walked along to Reculver along the coast - all really nice.
If we'd had more time we would have gone to Leeds castle, too - didn't realise we were so close to it.
All in all a lovely place to stay, great location and helpful hosts.
