Located in the centre of Munich, just east of the river Isar.
The area is called Haidhausen and is still considered in the centre of Munich. Its full of great pubs, cafes and second hand shops. This area has a lot more of an artists flair and it is really down to earth with small privately run shops that dont belong to any big chains! You could say it has a village character in the centre of Munich.
The flat is within a 5 min walk to all the mayor S-Bahn (tram) lines and within the same distance you make it down to the Deutsche Museum by the Isar. And if walking is your thing, it'll only take you 20 mins to the Marienplatz!!
The flat is on the 4th flour and it's a loft conversion. Its 900+ square feet split up into a large kitchen with dining area, one bedroom with a king sized bed and a large living room with ceiling beams and two very comfortable couches. The whole loft has beautiful old attic floors which together with old tables and very contemporary furniture give it a great tension between the old and new in terms of interior design.
The flat can easily house 4, two in the main bedroom and 2 on the living room couches.
And here a little taste of the neighborhood from one of the little shop owners:
*** HERE'S AN IDEA
let's buy christmas presents from small local businesses & self-employed people.
for example, from your neighbour who sells online (Hubercraft, Sedanstr. 23), the local crafts person who makes jewellery (Anne von Waechter, Sedanstr. 24), the guy who has a stunning florist (Rosenkavalier, Metzstr. 15), the local gift store (DopplerShop, Metzstr. 15), your friend who runs a shop (Glückspilz, Pariser Str. 39), the local bakers that do handmade cakes or chocolates (Confiserie Carl Micksch, Belfortstr. 2), the girl who has a stall on the market (Gemüsestand am Rosenheimer Platz) or the guys that run a café (Marktlücke, Pariser Str. 40).
let's make sure that money goes to individual people & not multinational companies.
this way more *LOCAL* people will have a better christmas.
if you think it's a good suggestion, copy, paste & add your own favourite local shops.

Very nice location and appartment in the center of Munich!
Caspar is very helpful with every detail and formalities.
Caspar has been a very helpful and sympathic host, everything worked out fine. It's a real nice apartment in a charming neighbourhood. It was a real pleasure staying a his place.
Caspar lives in a very central Munich suburb which has a host of interesting shops. It's easily accessible to all the major sites and its position close to Ostbahnhof is particularly good for travellers. The flat was cosy and Caspar left a very helpful guide. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable and Caspar's directions were clear and friendly. We had a terrific stay.
We had a great experience at Caspar's place. Communication was excellent with Caspar, he replied quickly and supplied so much good information! The key pick up went smoothly and quickly. After a very long travel day that was a relief!
The neighborhood is wonderful and was so close to the prettiest Christmas Market in Munich. It is very central to the SBahn and to all sights in Munich.
The loft was very comfortable and worked perfectly for 4 adults. I ended up very sick and it was nice to have a "home" to rest in rather than a hotel. For you Americans, the stairs are a killer with suitcases, but once you are there it's all good, very typical Europe.
All in all a great stay! Thanks Caspar!
Lovely apartment, nice location
All arrangements worked out nicely, and Caspar was very helpful
We stayed in Casper's place at the beginning of December and found the place perfectly located to all amenities needed to access Munich. Communication with Casper was easy considering he resides in a different country and we would definitely stay at his place again when visiting Munich again.
Everything that you might need. Perfect for our 2 Day Trip
we were unlucky with some issues like late arrival and key trouble, some installments pending in the flat, so it wasn't as perfect as it could have been, BUT Caspar was very, very helpful, in very close contact in spite of being far away, so bottom line: nice & cosy flat, great location, Haidhausen is really nice, great owner, and a bit of luck does help with the details...
Great apartment which was so much nicer than staying in a hotel. The apartment is a 15 min walk from town centre, and the area it is in is also lovely - cute shops and cafes - and very quiet. It feels like locals' Munich rather than tourist Munich. The apartment was clean, nicely decorated (great photography, brilliant sound system) and well equipped. Caspar was really easy to get hold of for any questions in advance of the trip. Highly recommended.
This is a very smart apartment, convenient for the airport and only one stop on the U from the centre. Very comfortable and in a smart area, lots of cafes, supermarkets. Thanks Caspar.
