1 Day befor check in we can't reach Paola per phone the hole day. That was a pitty, because I'm not able to clear the situation. As result, we must find an other solution. About the flat is nothing to say, because we don't use it. The Area around and the People in the house are not so kindly. Summery: I don't recommend this place.
Thank you Jorg, but your opinion is not relevant as you've never stayed in my apartment.
In fact, for YOUR MISTAKE you've arrived ONE DAY BEFORE the start date of your reservation. You cried on the phone telling me that I was wrong (but then, two weeks later, you sent me an email apologizing, because you had the wrong date!).
I've always tried to be of help even if the error was not mine, but you refused, you've decided to take another hotel and then you also have demanded (so rude) a full refound!
I do not know what you may judge of my apartment because you're not even entered!! But thank you anyway, I hope one day you will be able to reserve and guess the right day to check in, so you can finally see my accommodation!
I would absolutely recommend Paola's apartment to anyone! She gave us everything we needed and the location was perfect. It was so easy and affordable to get into Venice (only about a 10 minute bus drive), and very short walking distance from the train station and the bus station that goes to the airport. The neighborhood itself was also great and had a very authentic feel. I told Paola that our flight hit the ground at 4:15 and that my phone would not work to call her since I do not have an Italian number, and she asked us to arrive there at 5. The first bus left at 4:50, was about a 35 or so minute drive, and I did not have wifi once we arrived to inform her. The directions were simply, "walk to the apartment," so we thought it would be a bit easier to find. That was our mistake, and never having been in the area it was a bit tricky. After doing it once, though, its very simple. We even tried to pay internationally to make a call to Paola to let her know, and only received a machine. She was not very understanding of our difficulties, but we understood she was on a time crunch and were extremely apologetic for our delay. The only thing is the heat does not turn off and there is no wifi. Overall though, the perfect place to stay! The apartment and the host were great, couldn't think of a more convenient location to get the most out of your stay.
Thank you Brynn. The directions I gave you were clear (I gave you the full address+directions from the bus stop tp the apartment).. I did understand your difficulties, but i was just waiting for a short phone call from you, just to let me know you were late. That's it. Anyway, thanks for your review.
Cute little place, exactly what you need from a holiday let, when on holiday in a place like Venice, you'll spend most of your time out of the apartment. So you don't need much from a place. We had a nice evening in with some wine and cheeses and it was perfect for that also. It's clean, safe and friendly. You can get a bus into venice from the next road that takes about 15-20 minutes going across the road from the mainland (amazing at sunset).
Nice quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle & bustle that you will experience all day long in Venice. Don't forget that Italian lets need tax paid when you arrive, it's not much but make sure to have some euros on you ready.
Paola was really nice and helpful. She gave us all the information needed.
A very pleasant stay.
Our experience with Paola was as good as everybody.
She wait late at night for us, and she took the time to explain everything.
She also let us do a late check out and it was great for us.
We could easily go to Venice in 10 minutes. It cost 1,25 euro
The place was clean and well equipped and the bed was very comfortable.
The bathroom is perfect for a great shower!!
Thank you Paola!!
This apartment was incredibly convenient in terms of transportation. The train station was a straight shot 5 minute walk and the bus stop was even closer. There was nothing really exciting about the neighborhood, but we liked how quiet it was.
Paola was very sweet and helpful and had a little guidebook in the room for guests, which was a nice touch.
Indepandant apartment, totally yours room, no disturbing more privacy, only problem is no wifi access. Anyway, it worth it.
Despite checking in late by more than an hour due to a flight delay, Rossana was very understanding and nice about it. Location is good as the train station and bus stops are really nearby. Transport from the apt to Venice is cheap! The apt has no wifi though stated that there is Internet. We had a comfortable stay nevertheless.
Rossana's wonderful apartment is only a short bus ride away from the beautiful city of Venice. She herself is a very lovely host, providing a very good description on how to get to her place from the airport and being very helpful with what to do in Venice. She even typed out a little guide which you will find in the apartment.
The apartment itself is very nice and neat. There is lots of space as well as a kitchen to cook and a nice bathroom. It is about 5 minutes walk to the bus stop from which you can catch a bus which takes you into Venice - it's another trip by boat to St Marco's Square or you can walk there in about 20 minutes through Venice and sampling gelatos along the way - we prefer the latter.
The only downside I could've thought was the lack of Wifi but there are plenty of places in Venice you can find to use it.
Definitely would recommend this place :)
Perfect for what we wanted - just a basic apartment with good transport connections to Venice with car-parking. A good option for those with a car, or even without as it's very well connected to Venice. Thanks guys!
