Paola was a very nice host and kept in contact before arrival. When we came to the apartment she explained to us everything we needed to know and there were folders of information such as how to get to Venice , things to do and much more which was really appreciated. The studio was very lovely and just like in the photos with everything you could need. On the day we got there, Paola had newly installed a wifi-system which was brilliant as it was the only thing which would have been a slight downfall. There is a lovely terrace which we sat on every morning for breakfast and made meals in the kitchen which was fully equipped. There is also a supermarket which is fairly close and we often bought food from there to take back and cook.
It is a bit confusing about the price for the bus to get to Venice, a couple times we paid 3 euros one way pp but then once on the way back we only had to pay 1,50 euro pp?
Overall, we had an absolutely lovely stay and would highly recommend it
Paola's place is perfect for a visit to Venice. Especially when arriving by car. The bus connection to Venice is very nearby and the service is frequent. In 20-25 minutes you are in Venice. The apartment itself is basic but has all necessities. The neighborhood is good and you can find a supermarket, etc nearby. Paola is a very friendly host. We only saw her very briefly, but she explained everything to us in detail and gave some tips for our visit to Venice.
The flat was lovely - fully equipped and just two minutes away from the bus stop, such in turn only took 10 minutes to get to Venice. We were really glad we chose this option over staying on the crowded island!
Paola was very welcoming and friendly, eager to make sure we had everything. All in all a very pleasurable stay for three young backpackers.
Paola's flat is very well located if you come to Venice by car; it is in a pleasant quiet street and neighbourhood with very good access to Venice by bus. About 20-25 minutes in all (walk/wait/bus) to P. Roma. After that the superlatives are harder to find. It is OK size`-wise for 2 people. The advertised potential of four would be a squeeze. But the advertised well-equipped kitchen brings new meaning to the concept. For example it ha one saucepan, 3 dinner plates (for four?), no kettle or electric jug, no can opener, no bottle opener and no cockscrew/wine opener (this in Italy!). The kitchen knife so blunt it wouldn't cut marshmellow. As someone who has had 20 plus AirBnb stays this one is not goig to make it onto my"sad to leave" list.
Ok.. let me tell you that: there are more than 3 dishes. at least 12 dishes. I'm sure about that.
And I am also sure there is a bottle opener.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and all guests find it easy to use and complete of any utensils.
And yeha, there's no kettle, you're right. you know why? because we don't use it. We make espresso coffee with the "Moca". so we don't have the electric jug. This is italy, yes.
Next time you visit my country , you can bring our own electric appliances if you wish.
Four of us stayed for 2 nights in mid June, and used the apartment as a base for visiting Venice. The apartment was very clean and cozy. The balcony was a plus. Paola was lovely and even had a binder with lots of helpful advice that we flipped through for ideas. We had a very pleasant stay. Though the apartment is a studio, it is large and did not feel cramped even with four people.
This appartment is a perfect place to stay in while exploring Venice. It is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were met by Mariolina who provided all the information we needed and answered all our questions. It is quiet and a nice neighbourhood with safe parking off road.
