2 bedrooms available in a bright old character home in the lovely neighbourhood of Wolseley. (also known as Winnipeg's granola belt!)
Share the bathroom and kitchen but also share your stories of travel and adventure with the hosts.
We are walking distance to a natural bakery, Italian and German specialty food stores, banks, bookstore, parks and river. A short bus ride takes you right down town and to The Forks area. There is parking for one guest's car at the house while the others can park half a block down on the same street.
This is a good spot to lay your head for a peaceful sleep while visiting Winnipeg.
Our home is quiet and easy-going and NOT a good fit for partyers or loud folks. It is a no pet, no smoking, no drugs, no drama house.
Come on in and enjoy your stay!
Rain welcomed us with warmth and genuine friendliness and consideration. Our room was clean and comfortable, and she accommodated our dietary restrictions by kindly providing us with gluten and dairy free breakfast options. The house exudes classic Wolseley character hominess. My ten-year-old daughter and I felt very safe and comfortable and would gladly stay with Rain again. Thanks so much for the warm welcome, and for the great conversations, Rain!
Rain is a superb host. Her home has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. She offers healthy, simple options for breakfasts, and does a nice job of accommodating dietary preferences. The neighbourhood allows for easy and fast access to the downtown, and to a major mall.
Rain is a also a registered massage therapist. I took advantage of the discount she offers to BnB guests, and would recommend this service highly to other guests.
The room and home is very comfortable and accommodating. I'm thankful Rain was so gracious as a host during my five snowy days in Winnipeg.
A friend and I stayed with Rain for almost 3 weeks last month. Rain made us so welcome; her home became our home while we were away from ours. We're hoping to stay with her again next time we're in Winnipeg.
In addition, the people in the neighbourhood are friendly and there's a lot of amenities really close by.
Thanks for a great stay Rain!
I loved staying with Rain and her family. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Rain made sure I had coffee and tasty bread in the mornings. The room was very comfortable, the house is within walking distance to major bus routes, groceries, shopping, yoga, and running trails. I'll definitely stay with Rain again when I'm in Winnipeg.
Rain was a welcome, accommodating host for our group. We arrived quite late and she was very understanding. Everything was comfortable, clean and ready for us, when we arrived.
Breakfast foods were available in our own refrigerator and the kitchen was great...I enjoyed a nice conversation with Rain in the morning as she went about her chores for the day.
Thanks Rain for a wonderful stay in Winnipeg. Love the Elms!
Rain's tidy home is located in an interesting urban tree-lined residential neighborhood, a convenient 7 minute drive to downtown. Winnipeg has a lot to offer. Don't miss the Museum of Manitoba, Manitoba Legislature, visit to the Forks, or a tour of the Exchange District. Restaurants we enjoyed included an Indian buffet at Charisma and a lunch at Chez Sophie in St. Boniface. Although Rain was out of town for most of our 7 day visit, her friendly daughters showed us around and stopped by occasionally to see how we were doing. She's a warm and excellent host who accommodates visitors' needs. On our last morning there, she baked us a blueberry pie with whipped cream for breakfast. Yumm! We'd happily stay there again.
