About this listing
Our little condo has been fully renovated. With a fresh modern style, a new kitchen and bathroom you wont find anything else like this on the island. We have a nicely outfitted kitchen (2 burner electric cooktop, large pantry, no oven included), lounge area with cable TV and wall mounted AC, dining area for 2 people, contemporary tiled bathroom and one bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Both the bedroom and living area have ceiling fans. We renovated the place as our own little paradise and would love to share it with you.
The condo is located just a 10-15 minute walk from the town of San Pedro. This means you are far enough away to enjoy the quiet island lifestyle yet only a few minutes from restaurants, grocery stores and the downtown shops and activities. The condo is 1 block back from the beach and you can enjoy the view of the water (beachside or lagoon) from the rooftop of the building. For longer trips to the north or south of the island you may want to rent a golf cart. Taxis are also available to take you downtown, or rent a bike for easy accessibility to downtown.
Linen and bath towels are provided, as well as beach towels. We have a 37" flat screen TV with local cable channels available, we also provide wireless internet. We provide a pickup and drop-off service from San Pedro Airport. Our excellent property manager's will be able to assist you with anything you need during your stay.
It may be small but this condo is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the island and all that Belize has to offer. Amazing diving, wonderful fishing, beach activities and tours of the jungle, cave tubing and nearby ruins.
We do not have many rules for the apartment. The building is mostly rented by locals so please be considerate of the people who live here. Please no smoking inside the apartment, you can smoke outside or up on the rooftop. Pets will be considered, the apartment is small so only small pets will be allowed. The building is not very child friendly (the outside railings on the upper levels are not that sturdy) so it is not suitable for small children to stay.
Lovely little flat, very clean and well equipped.
We didn't need to hire a golf buggy - we walked into and out of town a couple of times each day - a 15 - 20 minute walk. Also nicely located to Ramons Hotel which has a great jetty for swimming off.
Loved the island and lots of cool places to eat nearby in town.
Tyler greeted us on our arrival and was friendly and helpful with tips on places to eat and info about fishing. Fresh bath and beach towels were provided, as well as mini fridge, cookware, french press coffee maker and blender. Apartment was comfortable although water pressure in shower wasn't great. Location is only about a block from a grocery and convenince store as well as a fruit stand and is about two blocks from the beach, although finding an acccess point can be tricky (You have to go through a resort entrance). Roof access is available but there are no lights at night so I'd only venture up in the day time. Apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk into San Pedro town. Very nice for our needs!
We had a great stay at Rysha and Tyler's condo on Ambergris Caye. It was the perfect location: we could walk to a fruit stand and the beach in two minutes and the town center in less than 10 minutes. We enjoyed the local flavor the condo provided, and the house manager Jack was great with welcoming us and getting us acclimated to the island. We found the condo to be exactly as it was represented online. Highly recommended for the adventurous traveller who wants to get away from the resorts and experience Ambergris Caye like a local!
Well first this island is very beautiful! Jack who is the property manager is extremely awesome and super friendly. As soon as we got there he gave us a tour and then told us of all of the good places to eat or listen to music or relax. It was awesome. As for the place it was ok. We felt super safe since a security company is based out of the same building but it very loud. Expect barking dogs every night that live on the church roof. Also our electricity went out which normally wouldn't of been a huge deal but it was the same day my fiancé got food poisoning so we didn't have AC. The wifi is an open network so if works occasionally. If u need to get any work done then find an Internet cafe. It just goes in and out when it wants. Plus there's a beach so escape work and relax a little. Sadly on the same day as food poisoning and no electricity it sounded like the neighbor was trying to drill a hole through our bedroom wall. Just a note though. All the neighbors were super kind!
We stayed for 6 nights at the Apartment and fully enjoyed it. The place was clean, spacious enough for 2 people and had all the necessary items (towels, cutlery etc). Jack met us on arrival and shared a lot of useful information about the island. Nearby were a few supermarkets, small fresh fruits market and several places to eat. The town center was easily accessible via beach walking track. We had a great stay!
A private message and communication is in order. We would have suggestions on how to improve a guests experience.
The condo was as depicted in the photos with typical wear and tear one would find in a rental property. The unit was clean and everything was in working order. Rysha and Tyler we're not on the Island at the time of our stay and Jack, Rysha and Tyler’s condo manager was not available at the time of our arrival. We never met Jack, but he did leave a note on the door two days before we left with his phone number stating we could contact him if we needed anything. The condo complex security guard and the owner of the condo complex made sure we got in okay. They provided us with information about the area and even help us with renting a golf cart. Thanks guys!! There is a church across the street that holds services every evening and the church choir can get quite loud at times. Although I enjoyed hearing them sing, one might find this annoying. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

About the Host, Rysha & Tyler
I am an Australian who started using Airbnb while traveling through North and South America. My husband and I are both architects and while we were traveling we were able to buy a teeny tiny apartment on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize. We completely renovated the whole place and enjoyed living on the island for 2 months while doing it. We have now returned to Australia but still have our little island place and would love to share it with you.
