Ken and Richard were very inviting and made us feel right at home when we picked up the keys. The space is very private and has a beautiful outdoor patio. Perfect location to explore the Mission. Would stay again
The cottage was exactly as pictured, and even more adorable than we'd thought. It was in a perfect location, close to shopping, restaurants, bakeries, bookstores, and public transit to get to other areas of the city. Ken and Richard gave us great recommendations for where to go in the area, and they made the trip very smooth. Having a kitchen was a great way to save a bit of money and the backyard such a nice additional place to sit and relax. We only wish we'd been able to stay longer! Highly recommend, will definitely consider staying here next time I'm in SF.
Ken was a great host ! He did everything to help me, especially when i lost my keys. The studio is great, well furnished and so cozy everybody will feel at home. Location with a LOT of great places to eat and hang out is probably one of the best in SF. Bart takes you in 5 min downtown. Just one remark : Wi Fi didn't worked on my Vaio and HP computer...
My parents stayed at Ken and Richard's home while visiting me. They liked the place very much: in the heart of Mission, tiny, but there own parking space which is a big problem in San Francisco, quiet street, very nice hosts who are taking care of a small garden on the back yard. The only problem we had was the wi-fi: we had to log in every time anew and it could not provide the internet to more then two devices at the same time. It created some inconvenience since it was a leisure/working trip. Overall, they liked the place and would definitely recommend it to other members of the Airbnb community.
We spent the weekend in San Francisco. We started our trip and had a few delays. Ken was nice enough to wait for us. The place is quiet and peaceful. It has a beautiful private garden. We were able to park in their drive way which was major points since parking is hectic. I would definitely stay here again.
Loved this place. We've been to San Francisco many times but never spent time in the Mission. Ken's place is on a quiet block but just off 24th where all the murals are and lots of great coffee shops, restaurants and more. Very short walk to Bart. Quiet cozy apartment. Absolutely would stay again.
Ken and Richard greeted us on arrival . They went out of their way to give us information and make sure we were comfortable. They are charming, friendly guys - it was always nice to see them. The cottage is exactly as described - it is charming, cozy, private and quiet. It has a little deck and overlooks the beautiful lush garden. This is an interesting, vibrant neighbourhood that would be of particular interest to seasoned travellers who want an authentic, local experience while still close to transit. As it happens we were travelling by car. They have a nice little off-street parking pad. The airport was an easy 15 minute drive and it was also surprisingly easy to get to the Golden Gate Bridge and points north by driving down Van Ness To Lombard. Highly recommended.
My partner (Richard Leger) and I have occupied and owned this Victorian for 31 years. We were married in July, 2013. We love San Francisco and take pride in our home. We enjoy classical music, eating out, reading and visiting museums. I sing in a large community chorus (San Francisco Choral Society - Tenor) and my church choir (First Congregational). We are members of the San Francisco Historical & Museum Society and the Fine Arts Museums of SF. We are looking for guests who are seeking a lovely home base for their visit to our world-class city. We hope to provide ideas and directions to make your stay as rich an experience as possible. We can possibly provide a city tour in our '79 VW convertible if desired.
