Interaction with guests
We manage different properties around the house, so when we are not busy outside the house we are working, reading or listening to music inside. Talking to us is easy- whether in person, by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)/email or by phone.
IF you need help planning your trip or need to make reservations for any daily tour like Sacred Valley, City Tour, Maras Moray, Andahuaylillas or the Rainbow Mountain, just let us know in advance. We work with one of the largest and most reliable travel agency in Cusco who will pick you up from home or the Main Square.
The house is in a cul-de-sac curve, very quiet and very safe street. Not that the neighborhood is not safe, but it feel just extra safer having to access a gate to enter.
My house is the large White House with green fences in the curve coming down the street of Pasaje Esmeralda. The entrance is on the left side of that house. Look for number 8 (house number- not 8-A).
I work from home. Finding me should not be a problem.
AIRPORT PICK UP AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. Please note that we can arrange our driver to go to the airport to pick you up if you provide us with your flight information at least 24 hours in advance of your arrival.
This service is not included in your reservation and therefore you will have to pay the driver 20 soles ($6 USD approx.) directly upon arrival.
The cost of this service is 20 soles, which is an approximate USD $6 and it will be much less than if you were to get a taxi at the airport on your own.
This is how it works:
1) Provide your flight information (airline name, flight number and exact arrival in Cusco's airport).
2) We'll send a driver with a sign on hand, and your name on it. He'll wait outside- so after gathering your belongings, go out through the door and look for him.
3) The ride is only 15mins long and I'll be waiting for you at the house.
Upon arriving, you will need to pay the driver 20 soles for the service.
Plan on paying some extra if your flight gets delayed and you are unable to let us know in time to prevent the driver -and he has to wait for you an hour or so.
Also, be aware that there are a lot "last minute" travel agency waiting for last minute travelers. You could buy your tickets in town and safe up to $100 per person. Most of those offers are not what they seem to offer. We ask that you don't get too long in coming out. The driver may think you did not come and decide to take other passengers looking for a ride.
Up to 4 people with small to medium size suitcases could fit in one car. Larger groups or people with large suitcases or with more than one suitcase per person will need 2 cars.
If interested, please inquire and provide your flight information:
- Airline name (LATAM, AVIANCA, STAR PERU, LCP or PERUVIAN)
- Flight number (ex: LA2034, AV808, etc).
- Exact arrival time in Cusco's airport
Other things to note
May thru August is considered "high season". This means that you should plan your trip in advance. If you come to Cusco with "nothing" organized or booked, you take the chance of paying much more than the regular prices or you risk not finding what you need.
Unless you are doing any of the three treks: Inka Trail, Salkantay Trek or Lares Trek, you could only go to Machu Picchu by train, so the first thing to do is to purchase your tickets online. You will also need the entrance ticket to the Sanctuary in Machu Picchu and the round trip bus from/to Aguas Calientes to the Sanctuary. These two things can be purchased upon arrival if you cannot purchase them online.
Trains to Machu Picchu depart from two different stations: Poroy & Ollantaytambo. Poroy is only 20 minutes outside Cusco. Ollantaytambo is 2 hours. Therefore tickets to/from Ollantaytambo are a little cheaper.
From/to Ollantaytambo you will have to take a minivan.
I offer some tour options -including Machu Picchu- that I will be sending to you for your information. These other tours can be reserved with 24 hours in advance.
