You'll be enjoying a lovely room on the first floor, which includes a private room. This space is fully furnished with a twin size bed, cotton linens, cotton towels, two nightstands, and a chair. The room has a facing window with curtains for better sleep.
This is a private comfortable room for only one person. Check my other listings if you need accommodation fro two people or more.

All of this at a very affordable price. N
Cusco is a very safe city. Not that you have to walk with your cameras and iPhones on hand, but it is relatively a very safe city. Almost everything could be done by walking. And walking to the main attractions, Main Square, museums and places to visit is not a problem. The house is located in a safe gated street at 6 blocks walking distance from the Plaza.
December to February is rainy season, so come prepare.
June and July is the busiest and coldest season. Plan ahead of time and purchase your tickets online in advace.
Besides your visit to the wonderful Machu Picchu Sanctuary -which it could be done in one full day - there are other daily tours to consider. Please inquire if interested. Cusco is more than Machu Picchu and a visit is not really complete if you don't visit the Sacred Valled (Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Maras Moray, Tipon and others).
Interaction with Guests
If you wish that I arrange you a pick up from the airport, please let me know when making your reservation and up to 48 hours before your arrival. I work with a professional driver who often pick up all my guests. Besides this room I rent out three cottages for up to 5 people each - so I have to use someone that I trust and which credentials have been checked ahead of time.
Hiring a taxi at the airport is not a problem. There are a lot, one more expensive than the other. Detailed instructions to come to my place are printed in your reservation papers, and my house is only 10 minutes away from the airport.
But you will be saving some money if you decide to use my driver instead of any taxi at the airport. I heard some taxi drivers have charged up to USD $40 to some of my earlier guests. My driver only charges 20 soles, which is an approximately of USD $7.
To coordinate the pick up, I will need the following: FLIGHT COMPANY + FLIGHT NUMER + EXACT ARRIVAL TIME INTO CUSCO AIRPORT.
Please note that this service is only available from the airport, not the bus station or any other place in or outside the city.
Once the pick up is arranged, my driver will go to the airport with a sign on hand. The sign will have your name on it.
Please be considerate with him if your flight is delayed for more than 40 minutes or if it is postponed or cancelled. A tip on top of his fare will be most appreciated by him.
You will need to pay him directly upon arrival to my house.
The house is in a cul-de-sac, very quiet and very safe street. Not that the neighborhood is not safe, but it feel just extra safer having to access a gate to enter in the street in which my house is located.
My house is not right in the busy touristic center but neither too far, it is just six blocks away (walking distance). If you are like many of my previous guests, living in this part of the city will make you feel more “involved” in real local life than if you were to stay in a crowed youth hostel near Plaza de Armas. As well, there are plenty of places all the same, for tourists who like to drink beers and go to Starbucks for coffee. .
There are two supermarkets half a block away from the house, and plenty of local businesses (pharmacies, bakeries, restaurants).
A week prior to your arrival I will be emailing detailed directions in English and in Spanish to get to my house easily. If you need pick up from the airport, please let me know. I offer this service for an extra charge. So please inquire if interested.
Other Things to Note
May thru August is considered "high season". This means that you should plan your trip in advance. If you come to Cusco with "nothing" organized or booked, you take the chance of paying much more than the regular prices or not finding what you need.
Unless you are doing any of the three treks: Inka Trail, Salkantay Trek or Lares Trek, you could only go to Machu Picchu by train, so the first thing to do is to purchase your tickets online. You will also need the entrance ticket to the Sanctuary in Machu Picchu and the round trip bus from/to Aguas Calientes to the Sanctuary. These two things can be purchased upon arrival if you cannot purchase them online.
Trains to Machu Picchu depart from two different stations: Poroy & Ollantaytambo. Poroy is only 20 minutes outside Cusco. Ollantaytambo is 2 hours. Therefore tickets to/from Ollantaytambo are a little cheaper.
From/to Ollantaytambo you will have to take a minivan.
I offer some tour options -including Machu Picchu- that I will be sending to you for your information. These other tours can be reserved with 24 hours in advance.
CHECK IN STARTS AT 12PM
CHECK OUT ENDS BY 10AM.
If your flight comes or leaves earlier or later than these times, please let me know ahead of time. If I do not have a conflicting guest or personal issue, you will be able to leave your bags later or earlier than these times.

Sin duda disfrute mucho mi estancia con ella.
Monica is a Fantastic host! She made me feel like I was at home! Beautiful home, private room, very secure and breakfast every morning too! She made sure that All my tours were in order and is very knowledgeable about Cusco and the history! She made my trip to Peru and Cusco very memorable! Thank you Monica for inviting into you beautiful Casa! If I should come back to Cusco, I know where I'm staying :-)
I had a great host during my stay in Cusco. I stayed at Monica's B&B before and after visiting Machupichu. I got very sick after coming back from Machupichu to Cusco and had to stay one more night. Fortunately there was a room available at her place so I put off my flight and had a rest.
Thanks to her hospitality and helpful advice, I got better next day and took a flight to another destination.
She was always caring and I enjoyed her heartwarming hospitality.
I had a great experience staying with Monica. She is very thorough and gives you great suggestions of things to do in Cusco, and a map. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. And, Monica is a lovely person and I enjoyed talking to her!
As I travelled alone, Monica's beautiful house is always a haven after my one day trip. The house is elegantly designed. Monica provides delicious breakfast. She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I really enjoyed staying at her place.
De verdad está bien bien amable y simpática, fuera de mi imaginación.
Y otra vez perdón por invitar mi amigo tan tarde a casa.
Y la casa es bien padre! Muchísimas gracias por todo Monica, saludos.
Monica is an amazing host and super helpful in recommending places to visit and even arranging accommodation in Aguas Calientes to visit Machu Picchu. She also arranges an excellent pickup and drop service at the airport or train stations.
The room is a bit dark but has plenty of lighting. Everything is super clean and the hot water shower is perfect. Breakfast is also good.
The room is just 10-15 mins walk to the centre and even though situated outside the main area it felt safe walking back late at night.
I do recommend this place to stay.
