CENTER of Monterosso, Cinque Terre!

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Via Buranco, Monterosso Al Mare, Liguria 19016, Italy

The Space

Very accessible apartment in the center of the old side of Monterosso (Cinque Terre). Simple, clean and in the middle of everything! Perfect for discovering the coastline of the Cinque Terre.
We are located in the center of the village yet on a residential side street so it is easy to feel part of the true community of Monterosso.
This charming apartment has one large bedroom, a living room/dining room with a pull-out (comfortable) bed that fits two, a galley kitchen (large fridge, 5 burner stove, pots, pans, etc.), an oversized shower and clothes-washer. English language books are on the shelves and plenty of tourist info is stocked for your use. We do have wi-fi in the apartment as well as complete cable TV in English (or Italian).
Around the corner are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, the most charming piazza in Monterosso, a grocery store and butcher. A delicious corner takeaway with homemade Italian dishes is right behind us. The beach is located 2 minutes walk away and the train station is in very close walking distance.
We also have a baby cot and sheets available for families.
Our apartment was constructed over 600 years ago (!) but we renovated it in 2000 and have continued to improve it since.

  • This charming apartment near the center of Monterosso was perfect. When we arrived the apartment was clean, we were given ample towels and a binder filled with the most helpful detailed information on Cinque Terre you could ever ask for. We didn't use any electronics except for the wi-fi which worked perfectly. There was plenty of hot water and the temperature in the apartment was perfect. Lastly, because the apartment is located on a small side street, it is very quiet. With the super comfy beds you will sleep like a baby.
Kate is a pretty awesome host. She was very helpful when we were in a potential bind following a scheduled regional train strike. She went out of her way to get some much needed information for us and this was especially reassuring.
We enjoyed our stay in Monterosso immensely and really appreciated all of the comforts of Kate's little Paradiso. Absolutely perfect!

  • Kate's apartment was indeed a little paradise. What a fabulous location in the center of Montrosso's old town. Just walking out the door was an adventure, with a maze of ancient alleyways to explore. Kate was extremely nice in her emails and left us tons of information about the apartment, Monterosso, and the surrounding area.. The apartment was so Italian, using basic but modern (ikea) furnishings to complement the traditional (old) design of the apartment. And I loved the washing machine-- not only because we were so happy to have one after 10 days on the road, but also because it was so cute! ( you'll have to see it to know what I'm talking about). Thank you, Kate, for a wonderful stay.

  • Great location, just a few minutes walk to the water, ten minutes to the train, and surrounded by shops and cafes. Kate's directions made it super easy to find, and her communication was excellent throughout our booking process and stay. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen, bathroom, and linen closet, plus complimentary prosecco, juice, and milk. A great spot to explore the Cinque Terre, plus the other cool towns along the coast, such as Bonassola and Levanto. Clean and comfortable, Kate's apartment suited all our needs.

  • We found the historical location of this apartment fantastic, also within waking distance to all conveniences. The apartment was very well appointed, great shower plus good supply of towels.
Kate was excellent with instructions to find the place and other locations - ferry service and park tickets etc.
Highly recommend a stay of at least three days.

  • Not only was the charm of Cinque Terre our favorite leg of the trip - but this was our favorite lodging place. This apartment was the PERFECT place to stay in Monterroso. Kate was a perfect host and we were VERY well informed before our trip even began. With step-by-step directions to the apartment and a well stocked kitchen (a few days' worth of coffee, milk, juice and a delicious bottle of Prosecco) we were off to a great start. We appreciated the washer and clothesline and also the fan for the bedroom. I will be recommending this place to friends and family.

  • Nice and clean apartment in old part of Monterosso. The location is a short walk from the train and there are only a few stairs to get into the apartment. Kate is quick to respond to emails if you have any questions.

  • Kate's apartment in Monterosso old town is one of the best places I have stayed. It's walking distance from the train, the beach and a dozen bars and restaurants. Everything is just around the corner and the town has a very local feel to it even though there are tourists around. I can't recommend this apartment highly enough. I would love to come back and stay again.

  • Great apartment in the center of Mondello! Location couldn't get any better. Kate was a very very nice host and always responsive to any concerns.

  • Our trip was just great! And Little Paradiso was a huge part of this pleasure. The location of the apartment is just wonderful! It was very easy to find due to Kate's very precise instructions. And a bottle of prosecco in the fridge was a very pleasant start of our 3 days living in paradise)

  • My husband and I had a lovely time staying at Kate's flat in the old part of Monterosso a few weeks ago. It was clean, spacious, and in the heart of everything. She provided us with a very detailed binder full of information on the flat as well as the area with recommendations, which was really helpful! The only negative was that we had some issues with not having hot water in the shower, which I could have fixed earlier had I realized my cell phone wasn't on roaming. It wasn't able to be fixed in time before we left, but we found a temporary solution and Kate and her husband were the nicest people. She even helped me translate a purchase with a local store after we left! We are already dreaming of coming back and would stay at Kate's "Little Paradiso" again next time.

About
I'm originally from Texas but have lived in Europe since 1987. I moved to Italy in 1989 and never left. I lived in Monterosso al Mare (Cinque Terre) for 18 years before moving to Levanto in 2007 with my husband and son. I am passionate about making, eating and sharing good food. I love the sea and the woods and am frequently either hiking or out on a boat.
