Nice room in a sun-lit, nicely furnished apartment on the second floor of an historic building that opens on to a panorama of the ancient walls of the beautiful and centrally-located "borgo" of San Giovanni in Valle whike exploring this typical neighborhood rich in history. A visitor can discover unexpected and evocative places in Verona unknown to the average tourist, only a few metres from the business and tourist center. From this vantage point, it is possible to stroll along the hilly, natural byways until you arrive at Castel San Pietro where you can discover the wondrous landscape of the the entire city.
My apartment consists of 2 bedrooms (with twin or double beds), a living room with galley kitchen, a small balcony that looks out over Villa Francescatti (today, Verona's youth hostel), a bathroom with tub or shower and Internet/WIFI connection. At times I use one of the bedrooms, but I am willing to let the entire apartment for a minimum stay of one week. This neighborhood is reknowned for its small restaurants with authentic Italian dishes and modest prices.
I can not only give you information about Verona seen in tourists' postcards, but the more lively and genuine city of artists, musicians and people with open and inquiring minds. Many of these people are my personal friends. I am very familiar with a variety of cultural realities that go from simple drinks at various inns to the spots that attract young people and to quiet places where it is possible to drink and quietly sit and read.
I work in the field of pictoral restoration and my work has helped me to know the city thoroughly. Verona's historical city-center is a safe place at night (even for single women) and is a beautiful environment in which to wander and admire the Medieval atmosphere. There are myriad shops, bars and eateries that for all tastes and prices.
