A private apartment for 1 to 2 guests in a great central location 15 minutes from the city center near Vienna's Museumsquartier and Mariahilfestrasse.
The bedroom has a Queen sized bed and a cozy sofa. There is also a large closet and a small breakfast table. The bathroom has a large jacuzzi tub/shower, wash machine, and of course a toilet. The apartment also includes a small kitchenette and a small outdoor table in the courtyard. Perhaps the best feature of this apartment is the lack of street noise, so common in other city apartments.
The Apartment is located in Vienna's famous 7th district, a district which Gustav Klimt called home for a large portion of his life. Other than the beautiful surrounding architecture, the seventh is well supplied with restaurants, shops, and bars. One restaurant in particular you will find right on the same street as this apartment is Schilling, famous for it's great austrian cuisine. It can't be stated clearly enough how hip the 7th district has become, it's one of Vienna's most popular districts at the moment. Therefore finding a quiet apartment such as this one in the 7th is truly the way to experience Vienna.
The location is also well served by public transit, with a tram/bus stop a 2 minute walk from the apartment and a subway stop another 5 minute walk away.
As for guests arriving with an automobile the location is not the best, but this is the case for any apartment within the city. There is a parking structure on the same street as the apartment but the cost is about the same per night as this apartment. It is recommended to park outside the city and use Vienna's world class public transit to get around. It isn't a problem to get anywhere in Vienna without a car. It has one of the most extensive streetcar systems in the world, and one of the most efficient subway systems below it.
But mainly what makes this apartment so special is the lovely building in which it resides, which was built in the late 18th century when Scottish Abbey sold their fields to Joseph II. Just for reference, Vienna underwent major urban planning like Paris in the late 19th century, so getting to stay in a building built before the 19th century in Vienna is rarer than you'd think, especially since Vienna was bombed in the second world war. The building is classic Vienna and it's residents have a very unique laid back attitude. Staying here is truly the way to experience Vienna and all it's charm for business and pleasure. Seriously it's pretty cool.
Just for the sake of full disclosure:
This apartment used to be part of one large apartment. It is back to being it's own apartment with it's own entrance. I the host live in the apartment next door. There is still a door connecting the two but this remains locked and no one uses it. You are private in every sense of the word.
Since the other apartment is adjacent and I live there I have to admit I am a pianist and composer so I play piano a lot. I don't play all day and never before 10 am and never after 10pm. Don't worry, I don't play all day, I'm not a concert pianist. And if you're sightseeing you'll probably never hear me. But what would a trip to Vienna be without having a composer next door :)
I also have a parrot, he is very shy and quiet, so shrieking and screaming happen once again very seldom. No one ever seems to complain about the noise, so it shouldn't bother you either.

Beautiful, cozy, clean and great location! Very close to the centre whilst tucked away in a cute quiet yard. Lots of stuff to do in the neighbourhood too.
Henry was very helpful and discrete. Couldn't have asked for a better place for our mini break.
Nice apartment ! Perfectly central and everything you need is close by. absolutely recommendable
Henry's place is great, especially if you want to rest in a quiet and relaxing spot. I would definitly recommand this place. Beware that the apartment is 15 min walk from the center.
Beautiful apartment! We had a fantastic time in Vienna and loved staying at Henry's. It is very welcoming and in a great location near some lovely cafés and restaurants and a short U-Bahn or gentle stroll from the city centre. Would definitely recommend! Thanks Ryan
Great location, nice clean comfy apartment it was perfect. We had a great stay in Vienna and Henry was very helpful and accommodative. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit Vienna.
We had a really great stay in Vienna at Henry's apartment. The place is tastefully decorated, has everything one needs, and the location near the historical downtown and public transportations makes it very practical. I would definitely recommend it.
I spend 5 days in Henry's flat with my gierlfriend and we had a really good time.
Henry is a really nice host, easygoing and he gave us some good advices. The flat is perfect, super clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again when returning to Vienna.
Great place to stay for a couple of days in Vienna, the appartment was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Communication was very good with the host. Would definitely stay again when returning to Vienna.
The room is perfect for a short stay (or not so short, since it has a little kitchenette!). The bed is extremely comfy! And there's a lot of room for clothes. It was clean and tidy. You can see Henry has an eye for detail. I loved the fact that there was a boiler for my tea and a hair dryer! And a big mirror!
It's at ground level in the inner court of a pretty building, so you see other tenants passing by, but it feels safe anyway. Heating works wonderfully, almost too much! We had to turn all radiators off because we were getting a headache from the heat, so if you tend to feel cold this is your place!
It's a bus away from Volkstheater and the center (you could walk too). From Volkstheater you can take several metros and trams that will take you practically everywhere.
Henry's piano playing didn't bother us at all, if you're worried about that.
The only thing is that we had to check out before 11 am but our flight was at 9pm, and we couldn't leave our suitcases there. But I suppose that's reasonable and did find an easy solution (visiting the Leopold Museum, just a bus away, and leaving the suitcases there!). Check in time is 2 or 3 pm (I don't remember). Maybe you'll need to take those times into account for your trip.
All in all, I would recommend this room.
