Strategically located, in a small and very calm street at the heart of the old Nice (street name: Rue du Jesus) at the 4 FLOOR WITHOUT ELEVATOR near the place Rossetti (where one can find the best ice cream maker of Nice). Close to all the touristic and cultural activities (without being bothered by the nose coming from the street): The « cours Saleya » and its famous market, The « place Massena » and « Garibaldi » added to that, the most famous « the promenade des Anglais ». This way, one can enjoy going to the beach or have a walk by the sea side during the day or, when the sun burns too much, one can find shelter in the shade of the streets filled with small supermarkets, vintages shops, art galleries, museums and delightful restaurants.
This welcoming flat, has all the conveniences required: kitchen, bathroom with shower, toilets, sink, a convertible sleeper for 2people, plus an extra bed, TV, micro waves, ceramic burners, coffee maker, kettle…
This flat is on the fourth floor of a typical old town building: picturesque stairwell with steep stairs.
Whether you are coming from the airport or the station, the stop is called the same way "Cathedrale Vieille Ville". From that point you just have to go on straight on one of the 2streets in front of you and you will arrive to the place Rossetti. From there finding the "rue du Jesus" is really easy.
All along the year, life in Nice is regulated with cultural activities. On summer one can enjoy music orchestrations and festivals. Winters are dedicated to Christmas market, ice rink on the place Massena, Ferris wheel and candy stands; the apex of this period is with no doubt February where the famous Carnival takes place. There, one will enjoy the parade of floats and the flower battle.
As far as food is concerned, Nice specialities are among the best of France and one will enjoy eating “socca", stuffed vegetables, “pan bagnat", dishes with sauce, pies… and lot of French pastries. The best restaurants are located in the Old Town, meaning around the flat!
By renting it, one will be able to visit Nice on foot, without being bothered with public transports crowed. One can visit churches, Castel (with a panoramic view of the town), Flower market of the “cours Saleya" (which goes on with fruits, vegetable, and food), fish market of the St François's place, museums (Chagal, Matisse, Terra Amata, MAMAC, Massena, archaeological places…). The port is also really close, with its typical fishing boats called “les pointus".
Once the visit of Nice is finished, going till Cannes or Monaco is really easy with regular buses (only 1€!!), and the stops are really close from the flat. I highly recommend you to visit Villefranche, its bay and citadel, the village of St Jean Cap Ferrat with its numberous little coves (less crowded than in Nice) and its beautiful villas. Then, Antibes with its old town and museum dedicated to Picasso; Grasse with its perfumes; Eze with its eyrie; St Paul de
