Beautiful and light apartment with everything necessary. Very friendly host and a fantastic neighborhood - I recommend this location very much. Thank you very much, Saskia!
The apartment was great - nicely decorated, clean and on a beautiful street. The location was good - as it is only a minute from the metro and then 10 minutes into the center of the city, supermarket nearby, etc. I would definitely recommend! Do note that the booking is not automatically for the three bedrooms - if you are only two people, it is just the main room (we weren't aware)- but the hostess was very accommodating to us and our baby and we had a wonderful stay! Amsterdam is a great city!
Saskia was extremely helpful and great at communicating. Immediately upon booking she got in touch and asked about my trip and made sure I was clear on how to get from the airport to the apartment. She was also kind enough to help book a taxi back to the airport when there were some communication issues with the taxi driver.
The apartment is really wonderful. I stayed there with my parents and brother. All 4 of us could not have been happier. It is a lovely 30 minute walk to the museums and a short metro ride to the city center. Also there is a really nice grocery store just down the street that has amazing croissants in the morning.
The apartment itself is composed of two large rooms (one large bed and two twin beds), a kitchen, and a bathroom. There are two balconies on each side of the apartment that were marvelous to have breakfast and coffee on.
If I return to Amsterdam I will not hesitate to book again with Saskia!
Wow what an apartment and what a city! This was the highlight of our trip. The apartment is perfectly located super big with all amenities and Saskia is an extremely helpful host! Couldn't recommend this place high enough!! We will definitely be back
Magnifique appartement, magnifique rue, magnifique quartier. Si je retourne à Amsterdam, j'y reviendrai sans aucun doute! Je recommande vivement.
Saskia's place was a great find! We just stayed for two nights but we wished we could stay longer. She allowed for an early check-in, the place is spacious and very, very clean. The location couldn't be better, not touristic (authentic) but an easy 20-30 min walk to downtown. Plenty of places to eat in local bars and restaurants. The Tapas place in the corner is really nice! Difficult to find negatives but if you have mobility issues be aware of the stairs. This is a +100 yrs beautiful Dutch house with traditional stairs (very steep)! It was wonderful. We really enjoyed and I will add this place in my list of favorites.
Sometimes when checking in to an Airbnb apartment, you think to yourself that its not quite what I expected from the pictures. In this instance, quite the opposite - the pictures in the listing do not do justice to how nice this apartment truly is!!!
On arrival, we were welcomed by Saskia's husband. We were running later than we had advised originally but when we messaged Saskia on the day, she made arrangements for us to be met with so we could be shown our accommodation.
The apartment oozed warmth and character. It was clean, functional and suited our needs perfectly for a 3 night stay in Amsterdam. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped.
Location is fantastic. It is a short metro ride from the Central Station and then a 1 minute walk from the metro stop. A supermarket is only a 3 - 4 minute walk away as well as a bicycle hire shop - a great way to take in Amsterdam's sights! A short walk along the Amstel River takes you to trams that run you into the town center. The neighborhood itself is quiet and there is a fantastic restaurant just around the corner - de Ysbreeker - which I can highly recommend.
If I am fortunate to return to Amsterdam again, I will not hesitate to book here once again. Thanks Saskia & Jeron!!!
