Cozy private room with half bath

House - Private room · Reynolds St, Pittsburgh, PA 15206, United States

Stay in a quiet safe neighborhood in the city of Pittsburgh. Our cozy and quirky apartment has hardwood floors and exposed bricks throughout. This bright private room with a half bath and the open brightly lit common areas are meant to be enjoyed!

The Space

You will have a room and a half bath to yourself, in this wonderful cozy home. Room includes a full-sized bed and an electric space heater. Linen, blankets, and a towel are provided for you.

About the home... It's the ground floor apartment in a 2 unit house. In addition to your private half bath, there is a full bathroom shared with me (and sometimes my boyfriend, when he is in town for the weekend). There is a lounge area and dining room area, and a beautifully renovated furnished kitchen at your disposal. The kitchen has a cupboard dedicated to guests, where you can find some snacks/teas/coffee and space for your own munches. There is also a front porch and spacious private patio in the back, where you can relax and enjoy your stay.

Interaction with Guests

I am usually present during your stay. You'll probably see me, as I will be using the shared spaces as well, and I encourage you to do the same whether I'm around or not! If I am not here to host you, I will occasionally have a (male or female) friend play host for me.

The Neighborhood

Beautiful Point Breeze is safe, quiet, and lined with trees. The house is right around the corner from the neighborhood's central hub (where you can get coffee and lunch or dinner) and walking distance to the shopping and dining area of the upscale neighborhood, Shadyside. Lovely Mellon Park is a short walk away.

Getting around

There is on-street parking (and there is always space) if you're driving. For those taking public transportation, we are just a block or two from two major avenues in Pittsburgh, so you can get anywhere easily by bus.

Other Things to Note

This is the first floor of a two story house. The neighbors upstairs try to be quiet, but because this used to be a single family house, and redone by the family that owns this, we will occasionally hear them going up and down their stairs from this apartment.

  • I only stayed with Stephanie for one night, but she was a wonderful host. She is kind, incredibly hospitable and even drew me a map to help me get around Pittsburgh! Her apartment is lovely and centrally located, I would recommend staying with Stephanie in a heartbeat!

  • I didn't meet Stephanie, but her friend Dave helped make sure we had everything we needed for a nice weekend in Pittsburgh. We had a great time and the apartment was great - clean, cozy and comfortable, which was exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend this place to travelers.

  • Stephanie was a great host with an adorable apartment. We were visiting family for a week, but wanted a great downtown location to explore the burgh from. Walking to the coffee shop and restaurants was perfect. There were also great parks nearby for a morning run. The apartment was clean and as described. Parking was easy. The bed was comfy. We'll keep this place on our list for our next visit! Thanks :)

  • Stephanie was a gracious host who was more than accommodating with our late arrival time. Her post it note directions helped us navigate around the house with ease. The half bath was perfect for us allowing use of the sink or toilet without the need to leave our room. There were also convenient bike trail maps and other brochures laid out for us on our bedside table. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a stress free visit to Pittsburgh.

    Highly recommended!

  • Stephanie was a great host for our weekend in Pittsburgh during which we attended a multi-day wedding. The room and bed were comfortable and the shared space is wonderful! The only problem was that we were out with friends for almost the entire weekend, so we were unable to hang out and utilize the space. If we ever travel to Pittsburgh again, we'll be sure to stay with Stephanie.

About
Life enthusiast, traveler, hooper, maker of things. I'm also a Couchsurfer, so my style of traveling is very relaxed, budget, and all about a good unplanned adventure. I like making meals together, and then sharing them. I'm not the best cook, but I try. As a host, I'm happy to engage in conversation with you about life and travel and everything, but will leave you to do your own thing. I'll either be out and about, or spending time working in my studio. I might occasionally invite you to join me in some adventure in the city.
