Greetings each! We are the Engelhardt’s. The Come As You Are Inn is a three bedroom Bed and Breakfast, located in Sayville, NY on the South-Shore of Long Island. We are one half block from the Sayville, LIRR Station, 2 blocks from Main Street, and 1.5 miles from the Ferries to Cherry Grove and The Pines.

The space
The oldest part of our house dates from the 1870's, and still bears some of the charm of its age. Each of the three bedrooms is nicely appointed and feature central air conditioning, queen-sized beds, television for streaming, snack fridge (charges apply), and coffee maker. "The Ethel Merman Room", the first floor bedroom features an ensuite with an elegant bathroom with a tub/shower. Each of the spacious upstairs bedrooms has its own dedicated bath. "Tammy" has laundry facilities suitable for use during a longer stay. "Mae" has a large soaking tub. A full breakfast is served each morning, and guests have the use of the common space in the house and in the large back yard.

Neighborhood highlights

Sayville, New York is a charming hamlet in the town of Islip. Situated on the South Shore of Long Island, it is about one hour from Manhattan, Penn Station, and approximately one hour to the air train to JFK International Airport. Also, our house is a ten minute drive from MacArthur Airport. In addition to shopping on Main Street, you will find golf at a number of nearby courses, a small beach and park by the Bay, and the Loughlin Vineyard tucked away on the Roosevelt Estate.
