Get weird at Shangri-Lava! Pool, hot tub... this place is in a class of its own. Leaned into a mountain on 5 acres of lava rock we harness the unique outdoor spaces that make for a one of a kind experience. This house begs you to pull out your camera! The exterior of our place is meant to remind you how funky the desert can be juxtaposed to its natural serenity. We wanted the outside landscape to keep you on your toes while the inside of the home sweeps you off your feet in peace and comfort.

The space
The house is cozy and the land is wild. The abundance of lava rock is so uncommon for the desert and helps to even further keep this house as a stand out from any other place you have seen. Each room was curated to give you the experience you need. The photos should speak volumes. I've designed it to have a ton of corners to explore, photograph, be inspired by etc. Get creative or do nothing and enjoy the view. Have fun here!

The house and the land is up for exploration. We have many levels to this backyard area. find them all. The meditation pit is a fun part of the place. The mountain face is part of our land. It is ripe for a hike. HOWEEEVVEERRR....it is not an easy one and if you decide to try, DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! There are animals amongst the landscape out here in the desert so keep your eyes peeled when walking anywhere. Especially at night.

Other things to note
This place was a passion project and built with love. It was too unique to not share. The inside is ideal for 2 guests, however we can easily accommodate 4. We provide extra sleeping spaces in the form of the couch and a full air mattress. Both extra sleeping spots include bedding. The exterior has morrrreee than enough space for the brady bunch so outdoor hang out areas are abundant. So please enjoy the space, Be respectful and understand that this place is pure desert, unique, quirky, imperfect but beyond compare.
