Easy access to Boston and Cambridge without the price tag !!
Boston and the heart of Cambridge are pricey areas, but this spacious home is located on the first floor (though there are 4 steps off the sidewalk) and is ideally situated for easy access to both these towns and comes with a kind hostess that is happy to help you organize your visit and give recommendations to the wide variety of sites we have here.
This quaint, spacious, sun-filled home located just off of the Minuteman Bike Path, near a playground and basketball court and a short walk to the Red line (the main T line) - either Porter Square (Cambridge) or Davis Square (Cambridge/Somerville). In both these squares, there are several options for restaurants, pubs and shops, as well as a 24-hour grocery store and CVS. Street parking is possible, though limited and at an additional fee (town fees) and possible off-street parking may be available at an additional fee depending on availability (fees of a local parking lot). Both these options require advance notice.
There are a couple of bus stops on the next block, which are convenient for accessing in one direction, the Green and Orange line, and in the other, Davis Square, though I recommend taking the Red Line since it's the main line and runs frequently. Davis and Porter Squares are easily accessible by foot from my place. If you are comfortable with zig-zagging through the streets, you can be at the Red line T in 8 to 10 minutes, otherwise take a straighter route and be there in 15 minutes.
The home has a shared eat-in, fully equipped kitchen that includes a small dishwasher and a double-living room with a large screen TV for viewing DVDs and Cable (including HBO). It's an ideal home for visiting in-laws. For families with young ones, there are toddler aged activity toys. My son provides the live comedy during day-time hours and does not require silence during the times he sleeps - mostly thanks to the floor plan, but also because he is a sound sleeper.
I do have cereal, milk and coffee available. And I provide a shelf for your own groceries and space in the refrigerator.
Your bedroom can sleep up to 4 persons comfortably. It has one Queen bed and a Double-sized sofa bed, 2 dressers (you have use of 4 drawers in one of these dressers) and a closet (I've made space and provide hangers). If enough time has been given to me, there is the possibility to put in a twin-sized cot, but that reduces the walking space considerably. There is a VCR and small screen monitor in the room with a small selection of videos. If you'd like to watch a DVD, I can hook-up a portable DVD player, as well. The bathroom is shared. Both bed and bath linens are provided. In the bathroom I provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, cotton balls and toothpaste.
There is a washer and dryer on the property at no extra cost. Internet is available, as well.
There are two cats that tend to stay hidden in the front living room, but may pay a visit in the night if a door is not closed entirely.
Accessing Logan airport is relatively easy and usually a 20 minute ride, but, like any city, can be longer depending on the time of day, of course. I like to use PlanetTran for their friendliness, reliability, eco-friendly hybrid vehicles and price.
If you want to go out of town for the day (or longer), there are two Zip Car parking lots next to the house and another just down the street. There is also the possibility to rent a car (ask me about how to save money renting a car), and the rental agent will pick you up and drop you off at the house !!
For those interested in visiting the New England Aquarium, I also have the possibility to a 50% discount off the regular price of adult passes. Just let me know if you’re interested. (It’s a great place to visit for kids and adults alike ! ) If there are any other attractions you’d like to see, let me know, I can see if there are discounts for those, as well.
And if you'd like to continue going to the health club, let me know, I belong to a wonderful club in Harvard Square that has a well equipped gym, great classes, a pool (that has children's hours), jacuzzi and sauna and can get discounted passes depending on the length of access.

I really enjoyed my stay. House is in a nice area north of the city, a few minute walk from the T train which takes you into the city in no time. I felt very at home, could cook and work there at my leisure. Nice room and shared bathroom. Very comfortable, would recommend.
I was in town for a college reunion. I was very busy so all I needed was a convenient location, a comfortable bed, and a good shower. Coco was able to provide all of the above, plus a little pleasant conversation when I checked in.
CJ was an amazing host and really made us feel welcome and at home. She picked us up from the local station and also helped us out with laundry and things to do in the city. Room was a decent size and clean and internet was good. Would stay here again for sure!
I was a very nice stay in Coco's apartment.
We were there only for 1 night before our flight back to Germany but we had all we needed.
Coco was very friendly and it was totally easy to communicate with her.
We stayed the night with 4 people in a room with 2 double beds which were very comfortable. The room was big enough and we had a lot of luggage with us. In the morning we had the chance to have a good breakfast with cereals and coffee.
If you' re travelling and have a car you have the chance to park your car in front of the house.
The area in which the house is located is quit and in about 10 minutes walk you reach the Porter or Davis Square whrere you find a lot of shopping possibilities and good restaurants. From there you also can take the T which brings you to Downtown Boston in about 15 minutes.
wonderful stay. the little family is really cut and helpful!
Coco is a great host! We arrived in Boston and Coco gave us easy subway directions to the closest station to her house. There she picked us up with the car and drove us to her house. she was very warm and welcoming and showed us around and where everything is (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom) the bedroom is very comfortable, we were three people and even one more would be possible, there are two Queen Size beds. She already prepared the beds, there were enough towels for all of us three and she gave us the login for the wireless internet. She also gave us a little map of the neighbourhood so that we can find our way back to the subway station very easy and she had cereals and milk for breakfast for us!
She has also a very cute little son, young ladies with long hair, take care of yourselves, Liam will love you! ;)
Both thumbs up for Coco!
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (2 + 4 years) and lived at Coco's place for about 10 days. We had the larger bedroom and shared the kitchen, bathroom and living room with Coco and her little son. There was enough space for our whole family and Coco turned out to be a perfect host. . She also helped us a lot to find our way in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much. Taken together, this is a (family) friendly place with a very good location!
Coco is a warm and lovely person. We had a nice time. But the room is definitely too small for more than 2 people and a kid. Four was too much of a crowd for the small room. However the stay was nice.
My 17 year old daughter and I traveled to Boston for a conference at MIT. Coco's house is very well located if you are needing to get to Harvard, Tufts, or MIT. She was very helpful in giving us directions around, and with good restaurant ideas. There is a market close by so we could buy some supplies for the house. The house is very near the "T" redline, which made things so easy. Coco drew us a few maps for our walking excursions. Her son is adorable and the cats are very sweet. Coco was an excellent host!
Coco's room was comfortable and convenient. We were in easy walking distance of Davis Square and other Cambridge destinations. Although Coco was away when we were there we were able to get in contact as needed. Coco's place was a relaxing and enjoyable base for our Boston stay.
