Interaction with Guests

We try to make our guest's stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Although we both work during the day, when possible we give advice on where to go and how to get there and provide maps for the area/city. We also provide a cell phone with important numbers in the directory to call us (or a Taxi) in case they need anything.

The Neighborhood

La Condesa is one of the hippest areas in Mexico City. There are lots of great restaurants, bars, stores and art galleries to visit. There are parks, libraries and cafes to spend time reading a book or just hang out.

Getting around

La Condesa is very conveniently located in the geographical center of the city. It has great access to subway and metrobus stations and there are many taxi stands around. It is surrounded by the Chapultepec park, the main Museum area (Reforma Avenue), Polanco and Colonia Roma. All those places are within walking distance or just a short cab ride away. The south (Coyoacan and San Angel), North (Basilica de Guadalupe, bus station for Teotihuacan) and center of the city (Zócalo, Bellas Artes) are easily accessible by subway or metrobus.

  • Very impressed by the people and the apartment.. Moy and Angela are real professionals, and made my stay easy and simple, while ensuring great coffee and breakfasts as part of the tariff, by way of Moys' nearby cafe. He also went the extra mile and even organised a private masseuse to attend me in the evening, in the privacy of my room.
It's a perfect location, close to a vibrant and safe city lifestyle, and the bed, linens and bathroom were exactly what I wanted. Supermarket very close was handy too... Angela a thoughtful hostess, who came and went without disturbing a weary traveller... Many thanks.. I'd certainly highly recommend to anyone seeking a City sanctuary in Mexico City.

  • Moy and Angela were very accommodating and open with their apartment. We didn't see them very much, but when we did, they were easy-going and gracious. We felt very at home in their space, which is well-located and a great jumping off point. Very much appreciate the experience and loved Mexico City. Thanks you two!

  • The apartment was exactly as shown on the photos and a great and quite place to relax after a busy day. Lots of space and very modern. Great location in walking distance to sights and steps to cafes and bars! I would definitely stay here again. An absolute recommendation!

  • Our days in Mexico City were really great, and a considerable part was due to the hospitality of these two great friends. There's no lying in saying we felt completely at home. The apartment is really nice, quiet, kitchen with all we needed to cook, room with a big and comfortable bed, wardrobes with plenty of spaces, excellent wifi signal everywhere. Outstanding location, we walked till 11pm every night throughout the area and never had any kind of problem. They lent us a mobile phone with all useful numbers in it (their number, taxis, etc) and umbrellas. When we got sick they helped us with names of medicine, calling a doctor and all. The breakfast in Moy's Cafe was also great, really nice croissant with avocato, coffee, etc. Really good hints on what to see and when, around the city. Well, could go on forever. There's absolutely nothing I would complain. And all that combined with the politeness and good mood of both hosts. If I could say something was bad, it would be the fact that these two work too much and we never had the chance to go out together and neither say goodbye properly. When someone travels, this is the way they expect to be treated! Keep it up guys! Abrazos!

  • My sister and I did a lot of research into where we should stay during our vacation in Mexico City. We definitely made the best possible choice when we decided to stay with Angela and Moy through airbnb. They were out of town for our vacation except for the first day, and during our brief time with them, they helped us to feel wonderfully welcome, they provided huge amounts of helpful travel advice, and they shared with us their warm, friendly, fun personalities.

We enjoyed every neighborhood we visited in Mexico City, but Condesa was the best choice for spending our evening hours. The neighborhood felt safe, and it was one of the most fashionable I have visited in all of my North American travels. Plus, the location of their apartment in Condesa is truly the best; it’s right next to a supermarket, right down the street from a beautiful park, a reasonable walk away from the subway, and very close to a sitio taxi stand. Restaurants abounded, and both Moy and Angela gave us some terrific recommendations on the best restaurants to try, based on our eating preferences (we’re both vegetarian/pescatarian, and I especially liked both Jugos Prohibitos and Camaron Panzone; both are delicious and ridiculously affordable!).

The apartment is cozy, fashionable, light-filled, and beautifully decorated with original art. The kitchen is well-equipped if you like to cook. The bedroom had an air cleaner and a small heater in it, as well as a window to open for cool fresh air (evenings were pleasantly chilly in January). The bed was perfectly firm with luxurious sheets and a cozy down comforter. The bathroom was equipped with everything we could possibly need, including a good shower, many travel soaps, a hair dryer, and even a straight iron. Several days into our trip, we were delighted to find that their cleaner had given us new, clean towels and tidied the bathroom for us. This was above and beyond the level of service I expected from an airbnb stay.

Haley and I were early birds, and we often left Condesa for our daily adventures by 8 or 9am, so we were not able to try Moy’s café for breakfast, although we dropped by in the afternoon on our first day, and Moy treated us to a nice coffee and tea. Moy even helped get us set up with an app called “WhatsApp” that allowed us to text him (as well as our friends in the U.S.) from our cellphone using wi-fi. This came in handy several times, since we didn’t want to use our non-international phone plans to call or text in Mexico.

I am so happy with our entire experience of staying with Moy and Angela through airbnb. What an amazing time!

  • Moy and Angela were extremely accommodating, if my girlfriend and I were staying in Mexico City any longer this cosy apartment would have been our first pick.
