Private room and bathroom with a separate entrance in a 1906 Victorian House. Your space is completely independent from the main house with a patio and sitting area in our big, beautiful garden - an excellent place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. * Please note, there is no kitchen.
We provide wifi, coffee maker, coffee and tea, microwave, mini-fridge, large closet, dresser, desk, dishes, and wine glasses. Also a great Lonely Planet guide book and a walking map to SF to use while you're staying with us. You may use our washing machine, dryer and borrow an iron if you need - just ask. We also always leave a few snacks in the room so when you arrive from your travels there will be something waiting for you.

While you will have your own private space, we have lived in San Francisco for many years and would love to help make your stay a special one.
Good to know: We have a dog who shares the backyard.
Please note that if you click street view, it's not our block.
Thanks! We look forward to meeting you!
We have spent many years lovingly restoring our Victorian home and we keep our space clean and well maintained. We just ask that you treat it in the same caring manner. Please always let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable.
We have a dog, and he uses the backyard. If he's a bother, just let us know and we can keep him upstairs for a couple hours at a time.
No smoking. Thanks!
Our host was extremely nice! She checked in on us a few times to make sure everything was all right. The listing was exactly as expected. Very cute, quaint, and spacious for 2 people. Everything was accounted for (little bottles of water, extra towels, kitchenware, small trash cans).
The location is so perfect. It's in a prime location, and we never drove more than 20 minutes to get to our favorite spots in the city.
Parking was not an issue. There was always a spot open on the street. Just make sure you read the signs so you don't get a parking citation!
Lorraine was great, very welcoming and helpful.
The apartment is very nice and within walking distance of places to eat, public transport, and the Haight-Ashbury.
We were driving and had no problem parking in front of the house or around the block.
Felt like home! Great host, central location (the real SF where people live), tons of useful amenities (coffee, mini fridge, Wi-Fi, fresh fruit), none of that funky smell like the last place I stayed. Everything was clean and well maintained. Good communication about all the logistics. Thanks Lorraine!
Lorraine was very helpful - ensuring that we had directions for the public transport system and maps for San Francisco.
We loved the garden outlook and the bed was exceptional! We hope to return to Shrader St.

Our stay at Lorraine's was perfect. The place was as described and in a really great location. Lorraine was so kind and gave us a heap of information about the area. The check in/out process was really easy and so was communication with Lorraine. Would definitely recommend this place!
Room was exactly as described and shown. Was a very comfy room and comfy bed, open the blinds to a nice sunny morning...
Lorraine was readily available with any request we had, although there were very few since everything was right at hand.
A great neighborhood with a nice park for walking, biking, whatever and there were plenty of places nearby to eat or go to a market to grab whatever you need. Parking was readily available also as we had a rental car and was able to park right there each day. Was this luck?
I'd highly recommend the place and Lorraine was a great hostess
Our host Lorraine made us feel very welcome. She greeted us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know about the studio. She gave helpful tips about the neighborhood. Lorraine was so welcoming that our 5-year-old daughter wanted to spend more time with her while we were there(!). The studio had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The location next to Golden Gate Park was perfect. We were able to walk and use public transportation to get everywhere in the city without any difficulty. All in all it was a great AirBnB experience.
I've lived in San Francisco since 1971. I'm a semi retired teacher and I enjoy traveling, hiking, and all of the cultural events that San Francisco has to offer. I enjoy welcoming people into our extra space. My family has not only lived in San Francisco for many years, but we've lived in this house for over 30 years - we know the city well and would love to help you make your stay memorable. I'm also conversant in French and Italian.
