  • Anicee is a lovely person and host. The location of her apt is great.
comfort was not so great - though probably young people will enjoy it.

  • It was a big pleasure to stay in the appartment of Anicée. The place is very cozy and has everything you need and further is located perfectly. There are a lot of great bars and restaurants around it! Only very small issue was WLAN who wasn't working very properly, but ok to check out the details for the next city-trip.

The communication and room handover with Anicée was straight forward; she always gave us a very quick feedback and was very reliable. I would definitively recommend this place and chose it again for a next NYC visit!

  • Anicee and her friend Jason received me in the apartment. They were both very pleasant and friendly and eager to provide info on the neighborhood, to tell me about the best spots, and answer all the questions that I had. The apartment is in a great location, with many restaurants and shops, and only a few minutes walk from Soho. Do not miss Bread for a brunch spot - the polenta with baked eggs was amazing!!

The apartment was easy to get in and to get to. I've stayed in many apartment in NYC and, believe me, some of them are 5 floors up and some doors just a hassle to open which is a bummer at the end of the day, or any time actually. This apt was just one floor up and easy to get in.

The shower was great, hot with a lot of pressure. We were cold on the our first night but, after I told Anicee, she quickly contacted the landlord and the temp was great thereafter.

If I had to make suggestions for improvement:
    - the fold out in the living room was not comfortable
    - the apt could be a little bit cleaner as far as dust

Overall, fantastic experience and wonderful hosts. I'd stay that again.
    Thanks for having Anicee!

  • I was in town for an interview, and this was a great place to stay! Comfy bed, ample space, close to the subway, markets, and so many great restaurants. Anicee and her friend Jason were really helpful if we ever needed anything, and flexible when our flight was delayed and had to change our arrival time. Overall, great stay. Thanks Anicee!

  • Great neighborhood. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Pizza place next door and bar on closest corner were great. Wifi was not working but it was a provider problem. Place was small but clean. Great water pressure in shower. All in all a nice 3 nights.

  • If you're looking for a cosy basic bolthole in a great location - in the thick of the Lower East Side - then this is perfect for you. As with most normal NYC apartments, location makes up for size, and it was just round the corner from the subway and brilliant Essex Market (indoor food hall) plus plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques too. I was in NYC in January when it was cold and the flat was toasty warm. It wasn't too noisy at the weekend considering its location but then I always travel with ear plugs and eye mask as a light sleeper. The biggest frustration was that the wifi went down but that was apparently due to the freezing weather and affected the whole building but Anicee tried hard to get it fixed while I was there. Unfortunate that the TV and hairdryer didn't work either, though I was out most of the time. Anicee was a delight to liaise with, met me at the apartment on my arrival, showed me round and was in contact throughout the week checking everything was ok and giving me recommendations of places to go. Definitely good value for money.

  • The apartment was clean and nice and we were welcomed by anicee's friend. The neighborhood was fun to explore. Bed was a bit lumpy. Aside from this everything was fine

  • My and my husband stayed at Anicee for ten days for new years and we really liked the place. We wanted to experience NYC like a local and we did here. The location is PERFECT with all the hip and hidden restaurant gems, as we like to eat out. We're not high maintenance and the loft has it's charming flaws like any other old apt in NYC. When it's really really cold the generators automatically start pumping up the temperature and they make a noise like someone is hammering on iron. Get's you up at 7am to explore the city, but that's just how they work. The apt could have been cleaner. Bed was medium hard as we like. All in all, we loved our stay!

  • My boyfriend and I had a great stay at Anicee's place. It was freezing cold and snowing outside and the house was always warm and welcoming. We slept soundly every night as the apartment is very quiet. The location is PERFECT! An easy walk to the East Village, Soho, Nolita, and just one block from the subway meant we got around the city easily and quickly. Anicee was easy to communicate with and it was nice to meet her when we arrived. She gave us some great tips and the whole experience was so simple without hassle! Highly recommend Anicee and her cozy home :-)

  • My stay at Anicee's place was great. I arrived on a Saturday night and she was so accommodating with my travel schedule. The pictures are a very accurate representation of the place. It is in a bustling, safe neighbourhood and it was clean. The bathroom is quite dated but, as with many old apartments in New York, it's representative of the time it was built.

    Great value for money.
