The host was very nice and the space was actually a little larger than I was expecting. They were flexible about check in time, though the apartment was a little less clean than ideal. The neighborhood doesn't have much open early in the morning, so try not to show up too early!
The apartment advertises a kitchen, but we were asked not to cook in it, so it's not that great a perk. The host(s) should probably buy a microwave if they don't want guests to use the oven. My one other (very mild) issue is that the ad states the apartment has AC, but it's only in the bedroom, and it's LOUD. I get the idea this is normal for NY though.
Otherwise, the stay was lovely and everything went smoothly.
Great location. Great restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. Everything is very close with subway nearby. Check in and out very smooth.
Anicee was lovely to communicate with and very welcoming. This is a great little spot to explore an amazing neighborhood in Manhattan from!
Anicée's apartment was very well located in the East Village - everything you need is there and there are many great restaurants around. Having a cafe right downstairs with hipsters roasting coffee beans on site is as close to a real local experience as you can get. The apartment itself was small but comfortable for two. Checking in and out was a breeze. The AC was noisy and really kept me up the first night but subsequently just keeping the windows open at night is breezy and sufficient.
Anicee's place was a great launching point for our trip to New York and she was great to deal with (very responsive and accommodating). The unit is homey and the little AC unit in the bedroom can be a life saver when its 90F outside. The food/drink in the neighborhood was fun to explore and being just up the street from the subway made it very easy to get around.
