In Frigiliana there are guided tours on horseback, market on Thursday and motorcycle rental companies. we can visit the old town whose architectural design and structure dates to the period of the moors and considered one of the best, if not the conserved in the province of Malaga; with its narrow and winding streets and meticulously painted houses which all together make this place an enchanting experince. The captivation of meandering slowly though the village along one of the two or three main cobbled streets, is that one may inadvertently discover a discreet little side street or passageway appearing to lead away to a secluded square, patio or another unidiscovered street. From the balconies and terraces of its houses, the beauty of the gently rolling hills of the surrounding countryside and the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea is all that can be seen. Along a specially designated route through the old historic quarter, the history of the village is narrated in old Spanish via a series of beautifully hand painted ceramic plaques. Village handcrafts and produce can be bought from the many little shops in the old twon. Interestingly, there is a textile cooperative that was founded with the objective of recuperating the tradition and legacy of the ancient practices of the Arab villages.

We only booked for a couple of days and did not make full use of the facilities but we had a lovely time in the house.
Although the decor was not to our taste, it was quite quaint and typically Spanish.
Raul was a friendly host who went out of his way to find us and guide us to the house from the center of Frigiliana.
