Narrow Napa Nest in Charming Home

House - Private room · Pine Street, Napa, CA 94559, United States

The Space

Welcome to my charming home near downtown Napa! Walk to nearby restaurants, wine bars, theater, and the Oxbow Public Market. I currently have one small bedroom available, with off-street driveway parking, a separate entrance, a private bath and a extra-long, firm, full-size bed. Perfect for one or two persons. You will have use of entire house - kitchen, dining room, living room, & deck/garden, and will have it to yourself much of the time. I am only at the house part time and my daughter is there only part time as well.

Certainly, it's hard to compete with all the delicious food, wine, and entertainment, that is just a short walk away from the house, but the house is a great place to cook, enjoy a bottle of wine, take a break, re-group and/or relax at any point in a given day.
The living room has full cable TV and comfortable seating and there is an adjacent office space, should you need it. There is a full sized dining room and table, a kitchen counter with stools, a deck seating area and a umbrella table in the back garden - lots of choices to sit, eat, drink and/or just chill.
(in addition to your firm and cozy bed in your nest room.)

Breakfast foods will be available for you during your stay.

-- If there are more than 2 in your party, there is a $40/night fee for each extra guest (to cover use of the air bed set up and the use of the living room as a bedroom).
-- River kayaking is available upon request (also for an additional fee). We will set you up, and help you launch - to enjoy the Napa area from the river's perspective.

The surrounding Napa valley, and the Carneros wine growing region, are both just a short drive from the house. There are also great hikes, cycling loops, walks, shops and art galleries to enjoy during your stay. And the beach, including Point Reyes National Seashore, is just one hour away by car. It all depends on the time of year you book your stay, as well as your interests and the activity level you desire when you are here. As a host, I will be glad to help you plan, or I will keep a low profile and let you discover and relax on your own.

The city of Napa has a 30 day minimum occupancy rate in private homes so please ask about details. The house is a great monthly rental as a home base to see much of California or to experience Napa and the Bay Area at a deeper level.

  • Nancy is a great hostess and her home is warm and cozy. At first, I was worried about the size of the room, but it is actually quite. The bed is SO comfortable and extra long, which my (taller) boyfriend loved .
This room is also perfect airbnb-material because it has it's own private entrance attached. The home itself is clean and has everything you would need. We had no issues, whatsoever.
Nancy gave us some great recommendations for dinner and offered coffee and tea for the morning.
My boyfriend and I went for a run in the morning and loved how close we were to downtown. After the run, we ate at Grace's Table (get the cured salmon & bagel plate!) and then walked back.
We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Napa.

  • What a lovely weekend in Napa. Nancy was so easy to get along with and her daughters were super helpful with any questions. I kind of even felt like I was part of the family :) The room is small but honestly felt like the rest of the house was easy to feel a part of, Not confining at all, even a relaxing patio to sit on and enjoy the weather. I will be back to visit Napa and I'm sure I'll request another stay.

  • Nancy's place was great, we had a great evening and walked from her house to downtown Napa for dinner. The next morning Nancy, a cyclist gave us some routes that we could do and pointed us to Model Bakery for breakfast which was delicious!! Overall great and convenient.

  • Nancy and her daughters are really nice people and will help you navigate the town. She also makes the best cookies I have ever had!
Her house is close walking distance to the Uptown Theater as well as downtown Napa.

  • Nancy and her daughters are wonderful, and have become my new California family! If you book anywhere else in Napa you will be missing out on three amazing women! The location is perfect. The house is quaint and absolutely beautiful. Nancy doesn't live in the house but if your lucky she'll stop by, hang out and make you the best homemade cookie EVER!

  • I stayed one night in Nancy's home and couldn't be more satisfied with my experience. Nancy is an excellent host - responsive, welcoming, and generous. She provided me with recommendations of places to go and left thoughtful hand written notes around the house, encouraging me to make myself at home. Her home is located close to restaurants, wine tasting rooms and is spacious yet homey, clean, and beautiful. Thanks again, Nancy, for everything!

  • This is a lovely home in the heart of Napa Valley. My wife and I found it to be comfortable, tastefully decorated and convenient to everything. Nancy is a gracious host and provided excellent communications for everything leading up to our stay. We would highly recommend to anyone seeking a basecamp to a weekend of restaurants, wineries and fun. This was our first Airbnb experience and it was an excellent one. Thank you.

  • We wish we were still in Napa! This was my first Airbnb stay and it went so well. Nancy was so great with communication and when we arrived the home was just so inviting. It really is charming inside and out! I adored the lemon tree out front and all the other greenery that she grows in her garden. Her garden is beautiful! We loved sitting out there and hanging out. It was such a peaceful place to be. The weather was perfect so we were lucky to be able to enjoy this! Her home is so comfortable and just felt very homey. I like her style and the combination of simplicity and charm that she has brought to the home. Oh, and the hot tub/spa was just what we needed after coming back from a hike our first night there! It was just of two of us but we got the whole place to ourselves and we loved it!

Upon our arrival Nancy went out of her way to recommend her favorite places to us for all of our needs...walks, hikes, dining, and wine tasting. They all ended up being great recommendations. She has guides and other info pertaining to Napa out for you, and paired with her knowledge of the area we were definitely in the know. The cookies were delicious by the way!

I hope that I will get a chance to get back to Napa soon and would love it if Nancy's house could be my temporary home away from really felt that cozy to me!

  • Nancy was extremely helpful and friendly in responding to our questions and making sure we had a great Napa experience. She even went out of her way to print out maps for us and annotate them with suggestions for nice spots to visit during our stay. We had Nancy's house to ourselves, which is spacious and a very comfortable place to hang out in during our afternoons and evenings in Napa. The house is on a very nice lot and has a very cool garden and deck area in the rear. We were really happy with the location of the house, which is in a nice neighborhood, and is just a few blocks from downtown Napa. You can not possibly do find a better place for the price, we could not be more satisfied with our choice, and I hope I will get the chance to stay here again on future trips to Napa!
