Matt was one of the most hospitable hosts I've ever rented from! He provided very detailed directions to the house, made sure we arrived safely by checking in via the landline, set out wine and appetizers as a welcome. We really appreciated the little notes around the house instructing us on how to use the house to it's full potential such as light the fire in the stove or how to set up the outdoor patio. We cooked many meals in this house and really appreciated the abundant kitchen that made us feel at home. I could go ON and ON about how much we loved this property but I'll just say that we plan on renting it again! Easy drive from the city, secluded and magical house, and very cozy!
Matt was very accommodating in making sure I arrived to the house late at night and made sure I had everything we needed as well as letting me know where things were around the house. He welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a fire ready to light! The house is very cozy and there are little helper notes around the place too! Great house for spending some family time in wine country.
This house is everything listed and more...beautiful marvels can be found throughout the house and surrounding property, everything is well stocked and labeled, clean, organized, and all details accounted for. Matt was gracious about check in and check out times, was always friendly and responsive and went the extra mile with wine, cheese and crackers at check-in. The check out details he left were very helpful and he was available by phone to go over any questions I had once we got in. Great clear directions for getting to the cabin too. If I have a reason to come back to this area I would love to stay here again.
Matt gave us very detailed directions to the home and they were spot on. The home itself was very clean and had everything we needed. Our family had a great time.
Matt was very thorough and helpful in guiding us to the location (a bit tricky) and in making sure we knew every detail about the place for our stay. The location is really nice - central to towns on either side, and very close to Calistoga's downtown strip.
The house was fabulous! We had so much fun with the decor. The house was secluded but close to everything we wanted to do in neighboring towns. The beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked. The patio was a great space to recharge every evening with our new wine finds. Matt was extremely helpful. He made sure that we were aware of all the home's quirks so we had no surprises. We LOVED our stay and would love to return.
Great location, accurate description and directions, great secluded house in the woods.

We are professionals who love to travel, surf, and Art of all kinds. We fell in love with this house for its secluded forested location, and our ability to weave into it a love of gardening and art. As well as a love of food, wine, and cooking. This house is perfect for staying 'in' and just hanging out, enjoying the garden and fountain, and seeing the sites so close by. Bothe state park is a short drive for fantastic hikes, and amazing wineries in every direction.
