iDEAL LITTLE STUDIO RIGHT IN THE HEART OF SAINT GERMAIN DES PRES!
perfect spot to visit and enjoy Paris in the perfect spirit of "RIVE GAUCHE"
The Studio is literaly in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés, at rue de Verneuil, exactly 10 meters from Mr Gainsbourg's house, the great and famous french composer.
It's right in the center of CARRE RIVE GAUCHE, the famous and chic left bank art and antiques square.
The studio is typcly Latin Quarter spirit, on the 6th floor under the roof, with wood on the walls and the floor, it has 2 BALCONNIES where you can sit and enjoy a drink listening to birds singing around, the street being very quiet;
THE STUDIO IS VERY BRIGHT AND SUNNY, since you have 3 door windows and a large ceiling window on the bathroom.
From morning to night you'll enjoy light and that's a big advantage in greyish days in Paris!
You are in the heart of the galeries and antiques streets, alla around you'll find all kinds of art galleries and antiques boutiques, we are in the main art streets of the 7th neighborood!
And still you have the chance to have a little supermarket at 50 meters from the building (quite unique in the neighborrod), lots of car parkings.
Downstairs you also have a delicate traiteur and green grocer with exquisite products open 7 days a week from 9AM to 11PM
In less than 5 minutes walk you'll be at Musée d'Orasy, café de Flore, Les deux Magots, pont Saint André des Arts, all the exquisites boutiques of Boulevard Saint Germain....
You are 50 meters from les Quais just on the other river side of the Louvre..
Well you can go by foot and comme back to have a rest in beetwwen 2 visits without losing time
It's the ideal place for all the Latin quarter lovers and those who love to enjoy Paris on the RIVE GAUCHE rythm
I live myself on the studio 2 weeks a month, and I rent it the other 2.
And even for a Parisian like me, staying there is like being in holidays.
Lots of great cafés, brasseries, terrasses, bookshops, museums, all around where you can just let yourself go, carried by the atmosphere :o)
The street is very quiet and you can hear the birds (quite unique tose days in Paris)
The studio is all equiped (internet WIFI, phone calls to land phones, hoven, fridge, freezer, television, dvd, coffe machine, washing machine
Being born in Paris, I would be more delightfull to help you and give you some info if needed.
The other 2 weeks a month I'm not staying at the studio I'm staying in the 17th in Paris so I can always pass by if needed during your stay :o)

Jacqueline's place was really great! We had a lovely time there during our short stay in Paris. The location is perfect, minutes away from the Louvre and the river. Many different shops nearby and many cafes as well. There was even a shop open very late into the night! (Rare for Paris). The room was cozy for 4 people but we enjoyed it. The cute little kitchen was great; I just wish we had gotten a chance to use it.The lovely balconies are the cherry on top to this place and add a nice touch to your time in Paris. Bathroom worked well. We didn't need heat and only briefly switched on the air, which definitely worked! Jacqueline also had many guides and books for us to plan our expeditions all over Paris, I enjoyed flipping through them to look for new and exciting things to experience. I would gladly stay here again or another place that Jacqueline hosts!
This is a great little apartment. The location is amazing and it's very quite which is hard to find in Paris. Close walking distance to so many attractions or perfect to just hang out in Saint Germain. I would definitely recommended it for the true Paris experience.
Jaqueline's apartment was absolutely perfect. The neighborhood is so charming and incredibly convienent to visit all kinds of beautiful museums, churches, and gardens. Its very helpful that there is a landline telephone in the apartment so that you can call Jaqueline with any questions (for those of us that don't use their cell phone when traveling internationally). The apartment is very tastefully decoratedly in an elegant yet cosy classic Parisian style. It looks even better in person than it does in the airbnb pictures. In regards to the 6 flights up- the steps are not steep at all and they are very short flights, so it was easy for me. I was with my father who is in his 70s and he was okay with the steps altho it's challenging bringing your suitcase up the stairs but you only have to do that once. Also, the apartment is right across from the former home of the French icon of cool Serge Gainsbourg! Look out for people snapping pictures and paying pilgrimage to the brightly colored walls of his garden.
If you want a lovely bohemian hideway in Paris this is the place!! There is a maid that cleans before guests arrive so it's very clean and comfortable. Also, I thought it was a great value for the rate Jaqueline charges. Did I mention it has an enormously deep claw foot bathtub?? It's also extremely private with no walls adjoining neighbors. You will not be disappointed!
I was very happy that Jacqueline had arranged for someone to meet me at the apartment and even though I arrived 15 minutes early (after flying from Denver to Paris), they were there to let me in to the apartment and explain to me how everything worked. Jacqueline is a good communicator and I was not worried that when I showed up, no one would be there. Her apartment is really great, it is very "cosy" and on a very quiet street within a few blocks of great cafes and shops. Her apartment has lots of windows/light and the bed mattress was firm and the shower pressure was great (and plenty warm). Her wifi worked perfectly. I also appreciated her 4 cup, American style drip coffee maker! I will definitely return.
We were received very well and getting the key was easy.
Flat was great, simple and had the right space for me travelling solo. There is a small kitchen, a small bathroom and some storage space. I didn't mind at all the six floors without lift. The best thing about this place for me was the view on the roof in front and the fact it was really quite and cosy. I really enjoyed staying here.
