The space
Welcome to Kat's Cozy Cottage located in the up and coming Miami's Upper East Side...where lots of hipsters, young families and artists call home. Within 10-20 minutes to really cool spots like the Design District, Wynwood, Midtown, and Miami Beach...just to name a few. The cottage is only a half a block away from bustling Biscayne Boulevard which is home to many cafes, restaurants, bars and small boutiques...all within walking distance!
The Cozy Cottage is detached from my 1924 Bungalow that has been totally renovated. It is nestled under large 100 year old Oak Trees providing lots of shade and great bird and squirrel watching!! The lush backyard has a wooden deck that is furnished with a daybed and some chairs for you to enjoy. The cottage has a terrace that has a bistro table and chairs for you to sit at in the morning and enjoy drinking your coffee or tea as you prepare for your adventures in Miami.
The Cozy Cottage is furnished with items dear to my heart. Our goal is to make you feel like you are home away from home. We have decorated the cottage with warm colors, fresh flowers and plants, lots of art on the wall and items that we have collected from our travels.
We want to make you as comfortable as possible so the cottage is equipped with a microwave, mini refrigerator (stocked with water and beverages), coffee/espresso machine (coffee and tea selection provided), glassware, dishes and cutlery. Please note that there is NOT a kitchen in the space. If you are looking for a space with a kitchen please take a look at my other listing....Boho Bungalow!!

Guest access
A separate entrance from main house leads you to backyard/side yard where the cottage is located. A parking space is also available in front of the main house that is conveniently located near the gate that gives you access to the yard.
Check-in time is anytime AFTER 4pm...do NOT show up early and expect access to property...NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
LUGGAGE DROP OFF/HOLDING IS NOT AVAILABLE.
Please note that the hot tub is NOT available for guests to use.
Other things to note
We have two rescue dogs that are part of the family...Lucky and Lolah are very friendly. They will most likely greet you with a lick or two so if you are not dog people this is probably not the place for you....sorry.
MOSQUITOS: We are located in South Florida and we have MOSQUITOS all year round and especially during the summer months. We provide plenty of insect repellent to fend them off as well as fog and maintain the area, however, it is recommended to wear insect repellent when outside. If you are allergic to mosquitos this may not be the place for you and you should book somewhere else.

We have lived in South Florida since 1998 and absolutely love calling Miami HOME!! We purchased a 1924 Bungalow in 2007 and remodeled the detached garage into a small cottage (Kats Cozy Cottage) to accommodate out of town guests. After one year of success with Airbnb we decided to build a Tiny House on Wheels (Boho Bungalow) that is our pride and joy!!
As a child I grew up in New Jersey and then moved to Puerto Rico at the young age of 13 years. Decided to venture off to New Orleans and go to school at Loyola...ended up coming back to PR to be closer to the family.
I was in the Hospitality Industry for 15 years working in the Catering Department planning weddings and special events. Had the pleasure of working in 5 star properties that included El Conquistador Resort, The Ritz Carlton, Rosewood and Nobel House to name a few.
Because of my Hospitality Industry experience I have a high standard in quality of service and amenities. I pride myself in creating a unique experience for my guests as soon as they arrive and throughout their stay. I want you to feel at home....Mi Casa Es Su Casa!!
