The house is filled with original artwork from different parts of the world. Your eyes can travel from China (silk embroidered paints in the dining area) to Cuba (original wall art in the kitchen); or from Spain (original Lladró statuettes in the living room) to Mexico, Turkey, Italy...(Huichol embroidered scalp and many other figurines in display in the hallways).

Our guests frequently ask us where do we get our sheets and towels so they can get the same for their homes.

Great beds and great showers are the assets that guests value the most in the hospitality industry. With that in mind our beds are clouds of comfort and our newly remodeled bathroom has a shower that's not only almost a room-size, but also with excellent water pressure.

We provide washer and dryer for stays of 6 days or longer. All our appliances, including our kitchen appliances, are top-of-the-line equipment that perform efficiently and with excellency.

Neighborhood highlights

Oakland was recently voted one of the 10 most interesting cities to visit in the US by The Traveler magazine. Things have changed exponentially in the last few years.

It has become one of the youngest cities in all California. Young professionals prefer it not only because is substantially less expensive than our famous neighboring city, but also because it offers the most flavorful array of entertainment and eateries of the entire area at a fraction of what your pay across the Bay.

In terms of the neighborhood where your home is located, true diversity is the first phrase that comes to mind when trying to define “Fruitvale District” (name of this section of town). People of different ethnicities, backgrounds and ages coexist peacefully. It’s only a short drive/bike or an economical uber-ride from the crown joule of the city, the Lake Merritt, a place with magnificent views and architecture were Oaklanders gather for farmers’ market, strolling, salsa-dancing, acro-yoga, jogging, celebrating life, etc.

Fruitvale is the Latino neighborhood of Oakland. Not far from home, nearing intersections of Fruitvale at Foothill Blvd and/or Fruitvale at International there is a countless number of Salvadoran, Mexican and Guatemalan restaurants and bakeries. They are all very humble and down-to-earth establishments. The food is excellent, but the ambiance is tailored to working class latinos; if that fits your standards, you’ll have a very pleasant experience. If you are more into trendy places, Downtown Oakland will suit you best.
