There is also a backyard area for smokers with small table and chairs for your comfort and a hand crafted fire pit, which we ask you not to use unless we (your hosts) are present. If you'd like to make a fire, plz let us know and we can help set that up for you.
You may park along the white side of the fence for the duration of your stay and please give our neighbors their privacy by not approaching them with any questions or concerns. If you need anything do not hesitate to ask any of us (our numbers are listed below).
You should expect the sounds of an urban neighborhood, dogs barking, sirens (not bad tho), kids playing, neighbors gathering and trains off in the distance... there is music in the air everywhere in this modern West Asheville/River Arts district studio.
Located halfway between downtown Asheville and downtown W. Asheville, you can walk, bike, hike or drive anywhere within mins. The river arts district is alive and thriving, Newly renovated with local artists, galleries, restaurants, handcrafted micro brewery, and studio strolls on the weekends.
Downtown is brimming with GREAT restaurants that have a unique local flair, lots of live music and street performers. Shopping is abundant and fun, you won't find any chain stores around here, "Buy Local" is Asheville's motto. I also provide a list of my favorite restaurants, coffee houses, bars and nightlife, parks and recreation as well as other touristy attractions.
Angie, Sky, Tai and I are looking forward to meeting, hosting and helping you to have the best Asheville experience ever... We are here at your convenience and can be a part of your experience or give you as much space as you'd like. You just have to let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Guests will have access to private off street parking, the bungalow... which is completely separate from the main house, backyard area with fire pit for smokers, enclosed area to let their dogs go potty or get some fresh air, outside deck with hot tub and screened-in porch of the main house to kick back and relax with the hosts.
And an extra bed for your guests and friends as well....
Interaction with Guests
We can interact as much or little as guests would like, however, I do travel a lot myself, so sometimes I will not be there to meet, greet or entertain as much as I would like.
My housemate helps me to host when I'm out of town but she works nights and goes to school during the day and will not have much time other than to prepare the bungalow and make sure its all clean and ready for new guests. We are both available to answer any questions or concerns you may have via phone or airbnb message thread. Just leave a message or send a text and one of us will get back to u asap

What makes our place unique is that its tucked away in the trees and hidden from the rest of the neighborhood even though its so close to everything you'd ever want to experience about Asheville. West Asheville is an up and coming neighborhood with many hip and interesting things to do.
There is public transit with a bus system that runs on schedule and taxi service that is very reasonable and reliable... Especially if you're going out drinking...!!!
If you need a ride from the airport let us know and if we can, we'd be happy to come and get you for a little gas $ donation or a cab ride is about $20. There is also car rentals available at the airport if thats what your looking for.
Other Things to Note
Asheville is known for its alternative and progressive lifestyle and we are very proud to be a part of that. We love meeting all kinds of people and are very liberal and open minded folks ourselves. We are GLBTQF420 friendly and welcome whatever it is that you bring to the table... ;-)
Disclaimer: Due to the nature of our home insurance, we do not carry liability for our overnight guests. Therefore, we do not assume any responsibility for any accidental injury in our premises and other accessible areas. By making your reservation with us, you agree to these terms. Thank you.
1. Smoking is not allowed in the studio, however there is a backyard area with a fire pit that you can sit around and have a smoke or a toke and that ain't no joke! DO NOT leave cigarette butts on the ground. If there is nowhere to deposit them outside, plz take them inside and put them in the trash can.
2. It is expected that you only have two people staying in the studio at once. Please let the host know if there will be more than the two of you as there is an extra fee for added guests.
3. We love animals and welcome your pet as long as you know that there is a $10 per pet fee that you can leave in the bungalow upon your departure. For people with pets, plz make sure to wipe their paws off before entering the bungalow, especially if its raining and put a towel or blanket on the couch if your pet is used to being on the furniture.
4. No loud music after 1am. unless you are partying with the hosts at the main house, wink wink...
The bungalow was exactly what we needed for our short stay in Asheville as it is located very close to downtown and to the areas that we wanted to visit. We also enjoyed its bohemian charm and original decorations. We unfortunately did not meet Misha but her daughter Sky welcomed us with open arms on the day of our arrival. Thanks for everything!
Hey there Candice... thanks for the great review. So sorry about the hot water issue. Had I been there I would reminded you to leave the water dripping in the sink, as the water tends to freeze when the temp goes below 20 degrees. Hope you can come back when the weather is a bit warmer...
Misha and Tai welcomed me and made tea, which we drank together and talked. They provided good tips and guidance about places to go, places to eat, night life, etc. the bungalow is cute and cosy, just like the pictures. And the location was perfect, right between downtown and West Asheville, and waking distance to the river arts district. I had a great visit and recommend it to others! Thanks Misha and Tai
Hey there Laura... thanks so much for the kind words. We loved having you at the Bungalow. You are the perfect guest and welcome back anytime. I hope the visit with your son and future daughter in law and family went well. Maybe someday we can all hang out and enjoy each others company. please stay in touch and take care.
Another Great Stay. This was our second time staying and it was the perfect place once again. Our pets even loved it. The place was very nicely heated when we walked in, and everything was ready to go. This is the perfect location for walking downtown, no need to drive. We'll be back!
We loved our stay here, it was super cute and quiet. Misha was a great host! Sad we never were able to met but it was great to stay there, she was super responsive and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Thank you for being a great host! We loved your place!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Didn't see Misha during my stay as I was out till late in the day but she stayed in contact and checked to make sure I had everything I needed.
Bungalow was perfect size and it's location in West Asheville made it convenient to downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Clean & comfy relaxing spot to come back to at the end of the night.
Thanks for the nice review Teresa, Im glad to hear you liked the bungalow and I will definitely take your advice about leaving some extra blankets during the cold months. I myself, turn the heat way down at night, as I tend to get overheated under my blankets, thus throwing them off, getting cold, waking up and pulling them back on, only to repeat the process over and over again... LOL
Your welcome back anytime and hopefully we can meet the next time..
We enjoyed the amenities of being close to everything and having a change of scenario without a typical hotel experience. The shower is cool and I was really intrigued by how the whole space was created. Great family, awesome vibes and we hope to come visit again!

Mom, artist, healer, teacher and absolutely in love with Asheville!! Moved here from San Francisco CA about 13 years ago to be closer to family knowing that Asheville had a similar vibe. There are so many things about this place that I would love to share with you. The nature, the history, the people, the art, the nightlife, the restaurants, the charm and the characteristics that are unique to this quaint little mountain town are what brought me to Asheville and what has kept me here for the long haul. I look forward to showing you around and being a part of your stay if you would like.
