Just minutes to everything Asheville has to offer. Fully stocked mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Cozy loft bed and handcrafted tile shower.

The Space

Mindfully created by a local artist with extra large comfy loft bed (perfect for two) Soft lighting, beautiful art, library and mosaic stone shower. Fully equipped with A/C and heat, small refrigerator and microwave for leftovers, coffee maker, coffee, tea, juice and seasonal fresh fruit.
The Studio is separate from the main house so you will have this all to yourself (s). There is also a backyard area for smokers with small table and chairs for your comfort and a hand crafted fire pit, which we ask you not to use unless we (your hosts) are present.

You may park along the white side of the fence for the duration of your stay and please give our neighbors their privacy by not approaching them with any questions or concerns. If you need anything do not hesitate to ask either Sky or I (Misha) for help.

You should expect the sounds of an urban neighborhood, dogs barking, sirens (not bad tho), kids playing, neighbors gathering and trains off in the distance... there is music in the air everywhere in this modern West Asheville/River Arts district studio.

Located halfway between downtown Asheville and downtown W. Asheville, you can walk, bike, hike or drive anywhere within mins. The river arts district is alive and thriving, Newly renovated with local artists, galleries, restaurants, handcrafted micro brewery, and studio strolls on the weekends.

Downtown is brimming with GREAT restaurants that have a unique local flair, lots of live music and street performers. Shopping is abundant and fun, you won't find any chain stores around here, "Buy Local" is Asheville's motto. I also provide a list of my favorite restaurants, coffee houses, bars and nightlife, parks and recreation as well as other touristy attractions.

Sky and I are looking forward to meeting, hosting and helping you to have the best Asheville experience ever... We are here at your convenience and can be a part of your experience or give you as much space as you'd like. You just have to let us know.
Cheers, Misha and Sky.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to private off street parking, the bungalow... which is completely separate from the main house, backyard area with fire pit for smokers, enclosed area to let their dogs go potty or get some fresh air, screened-in porch of the main house to kick back and relax with the hosts.

Interaction with Guests

We can interact as much or little as guests would like, however, I do travel a lot myself, so sometimes I will not be there to meet, greet or entertain as much as I would like.
My housemate helps me to host when I'm out of town but she works nights and goes to school during the day and will not have much time other than to prepare the bungalow and make sure its all clean and ready for new guests. We are both available to answer any questions or concerns u may have via phone or airbnb message thread. Just leave a message or send a text and one of us will get back to u asap

The Neighborhood

What makes my place unique is that its tucked away in the trees and hidden from the rest of the neighborhood even though its so close to everything you'd ever want to experience about Asheville. West Asheville is an up and coming neighborhood with many hip and interesting things to do.

Getting around

There is public transit with a bus system that runs on schedule and taxi service that is very reasonable and reliable... Especially if you're going out drinking...!!!

Other Things to Note

Asheville is known for its alternative and progressive lifestyle and we are very proud to be a part of that. We love meeting all kinds of people and are very liberal and open minded folks ourselves. We are GLBTQ420 friendly and welcome what ever it is that you bring to the table... ;-)

  • The bungalow was exactly what we expected and perfect for our stay in Asheville. The accommodations were the same as what you would get at a hotel without the high cost. The location was incredible, comfortable walking distance to the river arts district where you can catch a trolley to downtown. If a trolley isn't your thing, driving to downtown and West Asheville was so simple. We would book this location again in a heartbeat, it was great and so were the owners.

  • Had such a fantastic time at the bungalow! Very cozy and perfect for couples who need a getaway. My only regret was not getting to hang out with Misha,Tai, & Sky more( we had a lot of friends we had to meet up with.)They are a blast & I highly recommend! Not only were they very helpful with recommendations, etc., they were truly fun people to hang out with. We will definitely be back!

  • We made a one-night trip to see what Asheville had to offer, in hopes of possibly relocating there in the future. We had an itinerary made up and a couple of places in mind to visit but instead we hung out with Misha and her family that night. I wouldn't have had it any other way. I've never met people who were so accepting and welcoming; it was as if we were old relatives who were coming into town to visit.

West Asheville is a wonderful place, but it's not the fine restaurants and shops that make it that way, but instead it is the people, like Misha and her family, who make the town so endearing. The bungalow is indeed the place where dreams happen and you might find yourself thinking that this place is exactly where you were supposed to end up all along. It's a welcoming guidepost on the weary and long path that is life. The only question you'll have after your stay is, "When can I come back and do this again?"

  • The Bohemian Bungalow was fantastic! Misha, Tai, Sky and Chloe were the nicest of hosts, very warm and engaging. The space was unique and super comfortable. Located conveniently between West Asheville, Downtown and the River Arts District. This is definitely my first choice for where to stay during future Asheville trips.

  • I had a great time, this location is so close to everything! i was able to bike to most places and the rest were a short drive. If your an artist you would be in heaven in this very artistic space. Host were super friendly and great to hang out with!

  • Had a great time with these great people. The space was private, clean, and in a great location. Misha and her daughter are both sweet hearts and accepted us like family. They love dogs and treated ours like their own. Can't say enough good things about this place!

  • Misha was great to work with but we will never stay at her place again. It would have been fine with out our baby but the room was too muggy for my son. He slept horribly & so did we. Asheville is awesome!!

  • Our stay at the Bohemian Bungalow was very positive. We arrived and everything was ready for us. Misha and her friends are welcoming and gave us great tips for visiting Asheville. Her friends even offered to take us downtown Asheville! Her dogs are lovely and we miss he big white cat. The rental was clean and comfy.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I was traveling alone and Misha personally showed me some great spots in Ashevile. It was better than having a concierge. The location is great for walking around as well!

  • Had a fantastic stay. It was everything I needed for 4 days in AVL. No more, no less. Just right. Clean, comfortable, convenient. There's a cab stand within walking distance. Misha and Sky were great hosts--hospitable, informative, kind and sharing.

About
Mom, artist, healer, teacher and absolutely in love with Asheville!! Moved here from San Francisco CA about 13 years ago to be closer to family knowing that Asheville had a similar vibe. There are so many things about this place that I would love to share with you. The nature, the history, the people, the art, the nightlife, the restaurants, the charm and the characteristics that are unique to this quaint little mountain town are what brought me to Asheville and what has kept me here for the long haul. I look forward to showing you around and being a part of your stay if you would like.
