Perched comfortably above the hustle and bustle of Little Italy and Chinatown (North Corner of Mulberry and Canal Street), where the eastern edge of SoHo meets the edgy Lower East Side, guests step into the elevator and step out directly into the exposed brick and tin ceiling loft, of the most gigantic space among the many that I host.
Warning: the pictures fail to show the true enormity of the space!
Both of the two master bedroom suites, each with ensuite full baths, are large enough to be studio apartments in Manhattan! There is a further large bedroom in addition to two large living areas, dining area and modern open kitchen with breakfast bar and dishwasher, 3rd full bathroom and utility room with washer and dryer.
Want a massage after a day of traipsing through Manhattan? The second living/family room/den has a full-body massage chair!
Feel like cooking a big dinner or entertaining in a dramatic, wide open space? The main living/dining/kitchen area is approximately 1600sf on its own.
As with most of the other buildings surrounding the loft, this building once was one of many garment factories and warehouses located in this district. Today's Mulberry Street is home to fashion, creative, entertainment and high-tech businesses as well as residents.
Just below the corner loft's noise-eliminating double-glazed windows, the hustle and bustle of Mulberry and Canal Streets goes about daily life. The view outward from the loft feels as though you're sitting in a VIP box watching a show in a big arena. Except the arena is genuine, authentic NYC life. It doesn't get more real, as well as visually captivating.
On the comfort side of things, each of the bedrooms has brand new queen (large double) beds. One of the master suites has a brand new king (extra large double) size bed.
Furnishings are contemporary and appropriate for the space, as are the pictures and objet d'arts decorating the vast exposed-brick interior.
The modern kitchen with gas stove, dishwasher, plates, utensils, substantial counter space...makes for great dinners at the big dining room table just beside.
There is a Bose SoundDock, plus 2 large flat screen tvs, one in each of the living areas.
Along with the 3 large bedrooms, there are also two fold-out sofabeds, each is a double.
Wireless Internet, cable TV and climate controlled central heating and AC are provided along with fresh towels and linens.

Huge apartment that's perfect for large groups of family and friends.
The Loft was fantastic! A perfect and beautiful place for relaxation after a long day walking the streets of the New York. The location in Little Italy was ideal for easy dinners and as soon as we opened the door we were in the midst of genuine Italian restaurants with home-made pasta and canneloni, tourists walking and we really enjoyed the street life. The apartment was perfect for seven persons with nice bathrooms, open and inviting kitchen and not the least - the very much appreciated massage chair...
We really enjoyed the open living areas with the kitchen, sofas and the elevator coming straight into the apartment.
Had a great stay at this impressive loft. It was a Buisness trip so did not spend a lot if time here but it was perfect for our group with easy access up town on the 16 and lots of good restaurants close by for the evenings. Hosts where very helpful.
Great location for this huge loft. We had a fantastic stay.
Wally and Billy were very helpful prior our arrival and also they gave us the opportunity to leave our luggage after the check out time.
You don't need to hesitate to book this wonderful place keeping in mind it's a very busy area and it can be a bit noisy (as New York should be!)
Our stay at Wally's place was amazing - I booked this apartment for my family to stay while they were in New York for the week for my wedding. I got ready at the apartment on the day of my wedding. The place is truly spectacular, I have seen nothing like it in new york, and for a family actually really good value compared to having to get multiple hotel rooms in new york. There was so much space for everyone and there was no issues with noise from the street due to the double glazed windows which is amazing in new york! Wally was incredibly helpful throughout the booking -even providing a contact for his family babysitter for my sister to use while in new york, and his recommendation was fantastic. Definitely recommend this place for a big group!
What gave us the most gratification during our stay at Wally, was the expression of amazement from our guests during the reception we held in the loft to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. I was complimented by all for having found this beautiful, spotless, tastefully appointed and spacious loft in the heart of two fascinating neighborhoods: Chinatown and Little Italy. Pictures of the apartment posted online give a good idea of what to expect, but the actual experience in this space was even better than we could imagine. Wally was waiting for us at the door when we arrived, and he provided us out-of-towners with every bit of information we needed to have an enjoyable and problem-free stay in the City. We are planning to rent the loft again next year for a longer period of time, and we recommend this option in New York without any reservation.
We had a fantastic time at Wally's Mulberry St. Loft! Wally was a welcoming, accommodating host. The space is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. When the building elevator opens, you walk right into the loft, very impressive. We had all the conveniences of home while in one of the best neighborhoods in NYC. The loft is located in Little Italy and you will not be at a loss for a good place to eat. Our first night was pizza and beer at Toby's Public House a couple blocks up Mulberry. They were so friendly and the pizza so good, we went back each night for a late night beer. The subway station is an easy two blocks away and Starbucks is just around the corner. Not only do we highly recommend this property but we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you Wally!!
Experience was fantastic
- Great location
- Amazing HUGE space
- Privacy and independence for each guest
- Pictures are real and don't lie
- Soundproof (rare in NY especially on Canal Street)
- Simple, cosy, comfortable
- Wally was extremely cooperative and very nice.
I recommend this apartment and the host 100%
The reviews don't lie, this place is just amazing. The location is phenomenal, but the accommodations are even better. I was in the city for a long weekend with friends and the open loft space offered us abundant and well-appointed community space to downs time together that is unmatched by a hotel. Thanks for you space. I'll be back.
This loft is a wonderful space - grand and inspiring! I stayed here with my partner and parents for a week around Easter time and it was just such a treat to return after each day's sightseeing to the comfort and warmth of the place.
Wally met us on arrival. He was totally charming and gave us a comprehensive tour of the loft and lots of information about the surrounding area.
I highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Great interior and great location. You'll LOVE it!!
Thank you Wally, Larry and Billy
