More about our lovely building and neighborhood
Our new building has three private rooms from the 1904 vintage era. This building has a VERY interesting history and features comfortable rooms with lovely wood floors and wainscotting down the hallways. Restored with antiques and your very own private room, shared kitchen and an AMAZING large bathroom with the worlds most amazing shower (think mexican tiled heaven with 6 shower heads ) bathroom is shared only with the other bed and breakfast rooms and our night manager . Our new space is surrounded by art and creative studios with our resident Sweet Jack Russell wandering around with your host to say hello occasionally. Dog is kept out of the guest rooms unless asked in so note that they are very clean but probably not for those highly allergic to dogs/ not allergy free. You will have full access to our kitchen and it's cooking facilities, bathroom and wifi. Your room is your own private sunny space. Although your room is private you share the building with the owner and her own art studio and artists from diverse back grounds who are very respectful of all guests. This space is lovely and fairly quiet most of the time(quiet hours are 10pm - 8am) but it is in a hopping part of town some noise happens here occasionally, please if you need absolute silence to sleep this may not be the place for you. So don't expect crickets singing as this is NOT a suburban area, it is an industrial Arts district. This is a tidy but eclectic space and it is a creative oasis that is easily accessible to and from downtown Seattle., The building now (email hidden) ,coffee shop and salon right downstairs and the neighborhood features lots of fun shops and restaurants within feet of our door. Easy access to many tourist attractions via bus that goes in front of the house to downtown Seattle. The room is tidy and all amenities are available to you plus your own bathroom. Please feel free to purchase food and use kitchen at your leisure. Coffee/tea/ in the morning if you (website hidden) will provide all linens, towels, hair dryer, curling irons etc. If you have a special request please feel free to ask, we probably have it....we have everything :).
We no longer provide laundry services, sorry
This building is lovely and is 112+ years old so please be respectful of her and she will provide you with a sweet oasis from the bustling city. We enjoy making your stay comfortable. Animal friendly Children are welcome to come with you with pre approval and $150 damage deposit. This (email hidden)ly neighborhood with a bus right across the street for your 15 minute ride into downtown. You will have lots of fun but if you do not want a fun cultural experience then you probably want to stay in a vanilla flavored hotel and not here in our Neopolitan flavored art heaven. Many guests have enjoyed their stay in Georgetown with us ,as you can see from the reviews . We will try to help you get around and be comfortable in your stay. Easy access to downtown/space needle/ Alki Beach and points beyond... You will be provided with an amazing map of Georgetown and a Lonely planet guide to Seattle upon your arrival. Enjoy and we look forward to hosting and meeting you in 2013

Interaction with Guests
I am welcoming and available to help you feel oriented in your temporary home and neighborhood. I am easily available but stay out of your business respectfully
This is a vintage building that deserves respect as well as all resident artists and other guests so please no drugs / no parties and no NON air bandb guests are allowed into the building unless arranged with the host before hand. Quite hours are between 10pm and 8am so please keep conversations and any music/ entertainment to a lower volume during these times. Thank you for your respect
The space was perfect. Our room was comfortable, quiet and clean with a life saving air conditioner! Hanging out on the back deck in the evening was super dreamy. Angielena was so friendly and laid back it was like staying at a friend's house if your friend had a huge historic building that used to be a brothel. ;) I was a tad worried that it would be creepy (I scare quite easily) because it's such an old building but it was peaceful and positive even at night. We will be back if Angielena will have us!
I loved my time in Georgetown. While the location is a little distant from downtown (if you don't have your own car), Georgetown itself offers a variety of small shops and restaurants each of which is delightful and staffed with friendly folks.
My room was air-conditioned, which was nice because of the abnormally warm week. The balcony in the back of the building was also a delight to hangout in.
However, if you are looking for a traditional airbnb in someone's house or apartment, this is not it. This felt more like a cozy small hotel rather than the usual airbnb experience. That being said, the other tenants and artists were polite and didn't make any disruptive noise.
Additionally, the space is shared with local artist studios, and they seem to use most of the space in the kitchen. So if you stay here, you'll find it easier to have your meals out, since the kitchen is small and has little/no storage space.
Our stay with Angielena was great. Luckily we arrived right before carnival so it was definitely the place to me. The room is simple but suitable for the price. The kitchen is shared but we had no problems with other guests.
As all reviews state, the multi headed shower is pretty sweet. Pity you cant keep them all on.
Location is great, public transport right outside the door and plenty of cafes and bars nearby.
I have a mixed response to this accommodation. On the positive side, Angielena provides all kinds of useful maps and information for her guests. The building is apparently an old hotel which she is in the process of remodelling--you should see the fabulous main bathroom. It looks like something from an elegant spa! The room was clean and the bed very comfortable, and there's a bus stop right outside the door.
On the negative side, most of the place has not yet been remodelled and looks rather like a sleazy old hotel (except for the great artwork!). The room was small, dark, and somewhat dismal with peeling paint on the ceiling. The bed, wardrobe, small desk, and hard wood chair almost totally filled it and there isn't much of a public area simply to sit comfortably to talk or read. The bar fridge in the small kitchen is inadequate for 6 guests, even though some overload is possible in a 2nd one which seems to be for non-AirBnB tenants, and I had to go to a thrift store to buy myself some forks. One tenant told me the neighbourhood “isn’t too good.” I arrived early–my bad; I should have paid attention to the check-in time (3 pm)–but, though we connected at 2 pm, she didn’t have the room ready ‘till 4 pm and seemed in no hurry to get it ready. I don't think I'd stay there again.
I had a good time at Angie's place. The area and other tenants are always very friendly which immediately makes any stay more pleasant. Quite disappointing that the wifi wasn't working for the entire time as I specifically booked a place with wifi because I needed to work. Luckily All City Coffee down the road was fantastic and I got a lot done. Angie was friendly and helpful. The photographs of the place are not quite accurate - there are many different rooms and the photos seem to be a mixture. I stayed in the vintage room and there are much more modern-looking rooms. The stay was overall good and the shower was a lot of fun!
Staying at the arts center was really a great choice. There was a show while it was there, along with studio tours. The accommodations are excellent and Angielena make's sure of it. The suites are in a vintage building with historical value. The Georgetown neighborhood is very friendly, very unique, and its benefit sufficiently isolated from the rest of the city.

About the Host, Angielena
I am a visual artist who is the director of a Non profit community Arts and Cultural Center. The guest rooms are located in the Centers lovely 1904 building and share the building with professional artist studios. The building is truly a vintage charmer and I have been doing the renovations myself. I think you will enjoy my handy work. I enjoy animals, art, gardening and people.. .
This is not a hotel and I do not have staff so it is appreciated that you let me know your arrival time (as close as possible) and communicate this BEFORE your arrival as I arrange my day around meeting you. Late arrivals are hard on me and I may not be able to accommodate late arrivals as I have three jobs and need my beauty sleep :)
I am an easy going person but don't let people get away with much if they are behaving badly.. NO SMOKING IN BUILDING / NO VAPING/ NO POT …you can do all these things in our Smoking area outside. I am easily accessible if you need anything, I am happy to oblige most requests and strive to make every visitor a friend but I also will give you your space. I try to take Sundays off to rest and have time with my dog.
I am also happy to help you plan a fun day here in Seattle. I even have a lonely planet guide to Seattle if you want to borrow it. Late arrivals (after work day 6pm) must be communicated at booking and should be managed before hand .
Also no arrivals after 10 pm unless it is an international flight that has gone horribly wrong. Ill try to accomodate you no matter what but again, lets communicate before your arrival.
