Welcome to our home! We have lived in the Clovis area for over 25 years. Our neighborhood is close to shopping and restaurants and 1.5 hours to the national parks. We love getting to know new people and look forward to meeting you!
Empty nesters are making a bedroom available while our kids are off to college. You may choose between a cozy bedroom with two twin beds, or a bedroom with a full size bed. Bathroom is just down the hall. Enjoy time in our Pebble-Tec swimming pool (not heated), or sipping coffee by the pool on a beautiful morning.
Clovis is nicknamed "Gateway to the Sierras" and is approximately 1.5 hours from both the Kings, Sequoias and Yosemite National Parks, 1.25 hours to China Peak ski area, and 3 hours to San Francisco. Nearby walking/jogging/cycling paths make our location desirable to all! Old Town Clovis is a quaint area less than 2 miles away, filled with antique shops, an authentic Italian restaurant (our favorite!), many other shops and seasonal activities. The Clovis Rodeo is held each April, and the rodeo grounds are adjacent to Old Town. Additionally, November brings a full and half marathon in Fresno. We are athlete-friendly!
The GOOD: Great Clovis neighborhood; hosts are friendly but unobtrusive; privacy is guaranteed; light breakfast items made available at your convenience. An extra guest may sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor of the room you book for a $15 charge, or we can work out a deal for another bedroom for guests #3-4 for an additional charge on a case-by-case basis. Check-in and check-out times can be negotiated - just ask! Our home is 1 mile from Highway 168, Starbucks, grocery stores, drug store, fast food, etc., and 2 miles from Clovis Community Medical Center. Convenient location, but an established, quiet neighborhood. A full gym is located 1 mile away, with reasonably priced day passes.
The BAD: No TV in the bedroom, but TV with cable/Wii/Roku/Netflix available in shared living room. Please, no smoking. ONE CAT AND ONE DOG (indoor/outdoor but will not be in your room) on premises. Dog will be outside during your stay unless you are a dog lover.
The UGLY: The bathroom is circa 1978, complete with tile from that period. That said, everything works perfectly and you will find both tub and shower, fresh paint, fluffy towels and shower products available for your use.
This is a clean, safe place to get a good night's sleep before you head off on your next adventure! We would love to have you stay in our home with us! If you have any questions, please send us a message.
Bedroom, living and dining area, kitchen (please clean up after yourself).

Cheryl and Terry were wonderful hosts. My brother-in-law and I did some dual sport riding up near Shaver Lake and stayed at Cheryl and Terry's for two nights over the weekend. The beds were comfortable and both the bedroom and bathroom were clean. When we weren't riding, we were either spending time in Old-Town Clovis or hanging out with Cheryl and Terry chatting over a beer or two. It was a very nice weekend overall and Cheryl and Terry went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Everything you could ask for! Great place, lovely people and very homely.
We really enjoyed our stay here, yummy breakfasts each morning and a really comfy bed with a super soft blanket. Cheryl made sure that we had everything we needed and was able to help with anything from recommending restaurants, to where the nearest super market and best Black Fridays deals... It was great THANKYOU!
Hi Cheryl, himTerry,
Well, where to start? When we were leaving Cheryl&Terry's we literally had tears in our eyes; it felt like leaving home. They welcomed us into their family with open hearts and we always had a great time talking to them over breakfast/dinner. Cheryl is a supercook :) -she made us French waffles for breakfast and on the day we left for Yosemity she packed us smoked chicken for the way. I wish we could stay longer.
(Location info: the place is great if you plan to visit Sequoia and King's Canyon NP - 2 hours' drive or Yosemite NP - 1.5hours)
They were wonderful hosts and I slept like a baby on they're comfortable beds. Would gladly stay the night again if I were in town.
Cheryl and Terry are wonderful hosts. They are nice and considerate, one of the most friendly American families I know. We enjoyed staying with them, and they made us felt like home.
Cheryl and terry were both great. She even made us waffels. We had such a great time. House is very nice and big and the neighborhood is very quiet and friendly. We would defenetly stay with them again.
We are empty nesters from Central California, having raised 4 daughters in our 28 years of marriage. We are hoping to start traveling a bit and also open our own home up to Airbnb travelers. We are Christians and our faith is very important to us. Terry enjoys cycling and mornings at the local gym, as well as basketball refereeing at the college level, but his day job is spent as a Civil Engineer. He collects foreign currency and if you are traveling from another country and would like to exchange a variety of currency for USD, please let us know! Cheryl works from home and enjoys walking, sewing, and writing. We have two granddaughters whom we adore!
We will gladly show you some of the local walk/cycle paths near our home and point you in the direction of some good local restaurants. No matter where you stay, feel free to check out the Guidebook we have put together for our area.
