Hostess is staying in the living room. Please be considerate.
My host was warm, friendly, and went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable, always willing to inform you about the neighborhood and surrounding area. It was more like staying with family than a stranger. She honestly just has a super host type of personality.
Angie is a wonderful host --- I loved my stay in NYC with her. My flight was delayed, and I reached Angie's place at 1:30 pm at night. She was wide awake waiting to welcome me, and ensured that I was comfortably settled. She also helped me with suggestions about travel routes, and places to eat. Also, she is very bubbly and friendly, always ready to help when requested and ensures that you are not disturbed when you need privacy.
The apartment is nice and clean, and the room is bright, sunny, and much bigger than it looks in the picture. It is 5 min walk to Columbia university, and to the subway.
I would definitely recommend to stay at Angie's apartment during your visit to NYC.
I had a fantastic time at Angie's place. The room is bright and airy, and the entire apartment has a great welcoming feel to it. It is also very, very quiet, which is a definite plus. Angie is a very generous and gracious host, extremely considerate and at the same time happy to hear your stories and share her thoughts. Staying at her place made my visit to Columbia very pleasant and productive.
Angie was a really lovely host, and so welcoming. It was a frigid day in NYC and she immediately offered me tea and wonderful conversation after I arrived. As a writer and art lover, it was so good to hear about her art and dance background, and learn more about NYC. Of course I had plenty of quiet time in the spacious bedroom. The neighborhood is really sweet, and walking distance to Columbia University. You will love Angie and her generous, bright spirit.
The room was just as described/pictured, maybe even bigger than expected. Super convenient for Columbia. Angie was a great host, welcoming and sociable without being intrusive and with a lot of good stories.
Angie made me feel at home. She was friendly but not intrusive . She helped me with directions whenever I needed it and was helpful all the time
She makes a great capuchino and I really enjoyed her neighborhood and my room was spacious and comfortable . I look forward to returning to Angie's again.
I had a VERY positive and relaxed experience staying at Angie's. She is very welcoming and always full of ideas of how to experience New York. The department was as described and within walking distance of Columbia University which made my time in New York very productive. The connection to the subway is very good so downtown is always at your doorstep. There is an excellent variety of food and wine around on Broadway. Angie was always willing to help and we had very good conversations in the evening and great coffee in the morning. The apartment is absolutely beautiful and with an excellent location.
