Comfortably furnished, sunny, 2 bedroom apt., on the second floor, Colonia Condesa. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the other, 2 small singles. We're located around the corner from both Parque Mexico and Av. Insurgentes.
The apt. is in a 1940 vintage Art Deco apt. building, and has been restored, preserving the hardwood floors and much original detail. The kitchen is fully equipped (this is our home, not a rental flat) and linens are provided. There is a large TV, DVD, stereo with ipod hookup, wifi, laundry on roof. We're located in a safe, quiet part of Condesa, 1 block from the metrobus (Sonora), a multiplex cinema and mall, Parque México, many restaurants and bars. A modern supermarket as well as a traditional Mexican market are both 4 blocks away, and there are exquisite street markets on Tuesdays and Fridays.
We do not charge a cleaning fee - no surprise extras!
We are LGBT friendly :)
It's hard to imagine a more perfect place to stay in Mexico City. Wonderful hosts, charming and spacious apartment, perfect location. I was really surprised by Condesa. I knew it was convenient and had lots of restaurants. I didn't expect it to be so pretty, leafy and quiet. A true refuge in a crazy city. The bedroom in the apartment was on the second floor facing the street yet it was still very quiet (except for Friday night until about 11). Everything we needed was close by: supermercado, farmacia, sitio, turibus stops, etc. We also loved being so close to the lovely park. This was my favorite airbnb experience ever (and all but one have been very good).
So happy to have lucked out on Nick and Jim's apartment. The place is wonderful, every object beautiful and being in Condesa was great, easy walk to chapoultapec park and la roma. Although Nick wasn't around while we were there, he responded quickly to every question and there was plenty of ready back-up through his friends. Highly recommended.
Unbeatable location, clean, quiet, light and airy apartment, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, and two knowledgeable, friendly, responsive and generous hosts.
I'd highly recommend Nick's apartment to anyone staying in Mexico City.
Great location, in a charming neighborhood with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Nice apartment with a specious feel to it.
Pleasant apartment with interesting artwork on the walls and a plethora of books to read if one has the time. I found the location noisy as the bedroom is right on the street, but it was a weekend and lots of party goers outside and police sirens. Sitting area is light and airy but no view and as someone who likes to throw open windows and have outside living, I felt it rather claustrophobic in general. The living spaces were clean. The bedroom needed to have the windows thrown open and a blast of air through as the atmosphere in there was rather stale. The pillows could do with an upgrade too! I requested a floor standing heater but it was unavailable on arrival so kindly Nick supplied an extra blanket for the bed which looked a little grubby. All in all it is an attractive apartment in an excellent location.
We had a fantastic stay at Jim and Nick's place in La Condesa. Jim was a wonderful host and made sure we were comfortable before departing for the weekend. Since our hosts have both written guidebooks on Mexico City, we took Jim's walking tour and heeded Nick's recommendations on restaurants and street food. Great experiences all around!
It was my second time staying in La Condesa and this apartment was a bit quieter than the last place I stayed. It's beautifully decorated and was a comfortable refuge on the rainy weekend we visited. Definitely plan on staying again.
La Condesa is our favorite area of Mexico City and for us this location is absolutely perfect. The apartment looks just like the pictures posted. And Nick was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Great experience from start to finish.
My mom and I had a great 6 night stay in Nicolas's apartment. The apartment was large and comfortable. The design was impeccable- it felt like staying in an art gallery (in a good way).
The neighborhood felt very safe for walking around, going to dinner, and catching a taxi or metrobus.
Nicolas responded to our requests before and during our stay quickly and politely.
I think this apartment may be best suited for a couple. The second bed was not very comfortable.
All in all wonderful stay and wonderful vacation. Thank you again, Nicolas.
Second time at Nick's place, and still falling in love with the apartment. Highly recommended.
We stayed here back in June and have been meaning to write a review. We have tried 3 other different apartments in Mexico City and by far loved Nicholas' apartment the best. It is in a great location - steps away from the lovely Matisse restaurant, Parque Mexico, groceries and other cafes nearby including a Starbucks. It is also a minute walk to the main Insurgentes where you can catch taxis or bus transportation.
The apartment is beautifully decorated, the internet and phone connections were good too. We did not have a chance to meet our host but the keys were conveniently left near a store at the ground floor and we had no problems getting in touch with Nicholas if we had questions. Would definitely stay there the next time we are in Mexico city.
