  • Jean-Marc's apartment is very well located in Toulouse - it is handy for getting everywhere and is in a very atmospheric spot. We stayed for two nights and were made very welcome by Jean-Marc on arrival. We loved watching the world go by past the large French windows. The apartment is very quiet and comfortable. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is full of all the amenities you would need and the shower always had hot water. We enjoyed exploring Toulouse - we ate at the restaurant opposite one night and then explored further afield taking advantage of the lunchtime 3 course 'menus' at the various local restaurant. Toulouse is a very friendly place and Jean-Marc was an excellent host, right from the outset. Jean-Marc is quick to respond to correspondence. The photos, pictures and posters in the apartment are all very interesting and have a story to tell. Thank you Jean-Marc.

  • Jean Marc's apartment was beautiful and the ultimate French experience. It was situated near some very nice restaurants and Jean Marc was a welcoming and gracious host. We would definitely recommend staying with Jean Marc when visiting Toulouse.

  • This was our first experience of using airbnb and I am now hooked. We arrived late and the delightful host - Jean Marc - was there to welcome us and show us around. The apartment is incredibly beautiful and well equipped, in an elegant house situated on a peaceful 'place'. Fabulous floor to ceiling windows run the length of the apartment which I really loved. We discovered that wherever we walked in this lovely city, all roads seem to lead back here! The situation really is perfect - we loved wandering down Rue Canard to the wonderful market at 'Carmes', returning to sit at the kitchen table looking out over the square and dreaming about living a French life...

  • Can you imagine living in a museum, where you sip on wine from gold-laced glasses, cutting the brie with real silver knifes, using toaster from 1930s and opening the house with a huge key from the time of your grand-grand-mother? well, this is how it is in Lancuentra residence. Linen sheets have woven initials that may not be your own and you can peak at the town square from huge windows. I did not want to travel back into 21st century.

  • This apartment is exactly the kind of place that makes Airbnb so excellent at giving travelers a "hometown" experience in a foreign city. Comfortable, warm and nicely furnished without feeling at all 'decorated' Jean-Marc's place is located on a picturesque square in an ideal area of Toulouse, on winding streets near galleries, cafes and restaurants. With a fully-appointed kitchen my wife and I used to make soup on a rainy evening, high ceilings and comfortable bed - it felt like home. My only caution is that the toilet is a bit 'closet-like' and 'bigger' folks might find it tight. We had no problems at all, communication and arrival went perfectly, and Jean-Marc (even though he was away) was the ideal host! Super-fantastique!

  • We were very happy in Jean-Marc's apartment in a delightful square in the centre of Toulouse. We were there over Christmas and were able to cook for friends. The apartment was well-heated with loads of light from the large windows. And the bed was super-comfortable. We'd love to stay there again when we return to Toulouse. Jean-Marc is a kind and flexible host.

About
I am a dentist working part-time in Toulouse and living between Toulouse and Brussels. My husband is a dancer and choreographer in contemporary dance so I travel a lot following the touring of the company. I studied Art History at the same time as dentistry and I love architecture and art decorative especially Art Deco and 18th century. I like to build cosy homes and to share them with friends or guests.
