Other Things to Note
We have taken great pride in trying to make everyone's stay a great one at Number 5 and know from our reviews and increasing return visits that we are achieving this. We would like to thanks all our guests for being such lovely people and making Number 5 their home from home in Buxton.
We are likely to sell the place later this year so this may be the final summer of Number 5 as a holiday let!
There is strictly no smoking anywhere in the building and we have neighbours below so late night partying is not welcome. The design is stylish and vintage and includes antique pieces which although not particularly valuable are precious to us and we trust you will respect this. We understand that accidents happen and all we ask is that you tell about any damage. Minor breakages will not affect your deposit.
We had a lovely time in Buxton. Sarah made sure we had everything we needed and was extremely accommodating, even when the number of guests changed last minute! The flat itself had everything we could have needed, and our very kind hosts had even put some welcome drinks in the fridge for us! I would highly recommend staying with Sarah, and I sure we will be coming back.
The flat was beautifully appointed, comfortable, spacious and welcoming. The dining table was set as if expecting our arrival for dinner. It's a great neighborhood and a short walk down the hill to the lovely spa town of Buxton. This worked very well for my wife and I, and our two teenage children.
Really a delightful place. Even nicer than it looks on the website. Everything has been thought of for your comfort by the hosts.
It's a short walk to town and back...it's actually a Good walk up the stairs to get to the flat.. So brace yourself if you have a lot of luggage.
All Sarahs instructions were spot on in terms of getting in and out and around and about.
would have loved to have stayed longer. Our best air b n b experience by far.
Great location and a wonderfully presented apartment. Everything has been done to a very high standard and would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a place to explore the Peak District. Would definitely book again.
Loveliness of property was most welcoming! We were provided with everything we needed, milk, coffee, breakfast cereals and wine. Also, there were cold Diet cokes in the fridge - that was especially nice after our drive. The toiletries provided were luxurious and much enjoyed.
The apartment is fantastic, really well appointed and had everything we needed to make our stay really enjoyable!
It was a really quick walk down the hill to town and we loved the amazing view out over the town to the hills nearby.
Sarah was very responsive and made sure we felt right at home!
We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone wanting to switch off from the world.
The only challenge we found was that because there was such poor 3G/4G reception in Buxton and no wifi at the apartment, we struggled to research the things we wanted to do whilst there outside of business hours (when we went to the Information Office).
All in all, a fantastic spot to stay, we will be staying again!
Thank you Sarah!
We had a fantastic stay at Sarah and Graham's flat. Communication beforehand was excellent, with Sarah making sure that we had all the information we needed. Nearer to the time of our stay she checked in again and was also checked that everything was oK during our stay. All the arrangements worked very well and I felt that nothing was too much trouble. Sarah made us feel very much at home and that we could relax and enjoy ourselves. It was like staying with a friend, who unfortunately we didn't get to meet. The flat itself is warm and cosy and furnished to a very high standard but not in a fussy way and we felt very much at home, helped by a welcome package of essentials plus a bottle of wine and some beers in the fridge. The flat is very clean and has lots of lovely touches- hand creams, shower gels etc that makes the experience all the more enjoyable. The kitchen is very well equipped, warm and bright as this is at the top of the house, there are lovely views over to the peaks. The beds a super comfy, showers blissful and it is very quiet day and night. A lovely place to retreat back to at the end of a busy day. There is a lot of info about what to do locally including places to eat. All in all we couldn't have asked for more and had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended both for the property and owners who went out of their way to make sure that everything was OK for us.
About the Host, Sarah
We are a couple from England with 4 grown up children. We love to visit different cities around the world and have a particular passion for skiing in the winter months. We have our own 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment available for holiday rental in the beautiful Peak District of Derbyshire in England and would consider a house swap if anyone wishes to stay in central England.
