∙ It's a guest suite in our shared home. You have own bathroom and additional private entry for your exclusive use. We respect and value your privacy. We might not cross paths, but will be here during your stay and available should you need anything. (Note: in New York, unless it's a hotel, AirBnB is only allowed in a host's shared home.)

∙Your space is part of a large historic artist’s loft, the home of an independent filmmaker who has lived in DUMBO for 30 years. I've put a lot of work and love into the loft -- I did all the design myself. By staying in our home, you're supporting the neighborhood's remaining artist community.

∙ Two big bedrooms. Perfect for two people traveling together who don't want to share a room.

∙ Latex /memory foam mattresses, memory foam pillows -- guests say they're super comfortable and ask where we got them

∙ Work areas  in both bedrooms

∙ Luxury design bathroom: rain shower, two shower heads, radiant heat floors

∙ Bright and sunny. Big skylights instead of windows, open for fresh air

∙ High speed FIOS WiFi

∙ Your personal amenities include a coffee station with Nespresso, tea kettle, mini-fridge, the amenities you would find in a hotel. It is designed for guests to eat out. IF YOU WANT TO COOK, IT'S NOT FOR YOU. With so many great restaurants in NY, who wants to cook?

∙ Next to Brooklyn Bridge Park. Perfect for long walk along river,  a run or picnic. Best sunset in NY is one block away. Carousel, fabulous playground,

∙ Brooklyn Flea market just down our street on Sundays. Sometimes concerts under the bridge.

FUN FACT— Sonic Youth started out rehearsing in this loft, in the rooms where you are staying. The loft is part of neighborhood history.

Neighborhood highlights

DUMBO. Tourists flock here to watch sunset and stroll over Brooklyn Bridge. It's just 1 stop from Manhattan. You'll recognize the spectacular views from movies like Once Upon A Time in America, Scent of a Woman, Vanilla Sky, commercials and series like Gossip Girl. When I moved here, it was just factories and artist's lofts. Now it's a major tourist attraction and the most expensive neighborhood in Brooklyn. There's a gorgeous park, great restaurants, bakeries, chocolates and bookstores, and free concerts and a flea market in summer. There aren't many of us artists left here.
