The Bedroom, all that little stuff is gone (except the plant), I will post a pic that includes the twin bed soon
I live in a quiet section of the Bronx, in a very safe building in a residential neighborhood with 24 hour security guards. Located across the street from Soundview park which was recently renovated so has new jogging paths.
About 30 minutes from midtown east during rush hour.
I have internet and cable, parking is good if you're driving, close to the Bronx Zoo, Botanical Gardens, & Yankee Stadium, Fordham University, various hospitals and more.
There's a laundromat in the basement of the building.
The bed in the room is twin sized, so not ideal for 2 people.
Full kitchen, with working appliances, one bathroom. No smoking inside but you can smoke on the balcony.
I would also like to have a photo copy of your ID emailed before you come and the actual ID shown when you arrive, it just helps to make everyone safe.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions! I'm pretty flexible so if you have any other dates you want me to consider, feel free to ask :)
Happy apt hunting!
Basic info that I'm frequently asked about
1. The trains in NYC are 24 hours
2. Train fares- Weekly Unlimited MetroCard= $30
3.Yes my neighborhood is safe, you will not be targeted because you are European/Asian/Anything. The Bronx and NYC in general has cleaned up a lot in the past few decades and is the safest its ever been. I've lived in the Bronx for a long time and have had lots of visitors from all over the world and have never run into any problems, so if you choose to stay here you will be safe :)
4. I live closest to the 6 train but the 2 & 5 trains are also accessible from here. About a 10 min walk or 5 min bus ride to the 6 train.
5. You will have access to the kitchen and of course the bathroom, lol
Anything else feel free to ask! :)
Clean up after yourself (wash your dishes, throw away your garbage daily), no smoking (except on balcony), no unannounced or overnight guests, and please dont eat my food lol.
Aida was a great host. I really enjoyed staying with her for 3 months.
The place was large and close to transportations. The area is safe. Actually, the place really fits the description !
I enjoyed my stay at Aida's place, and she was very helpful in arranging for her sister to let me in, when I first arrived mid-afternoon. Easy to come and go with bus/train and parking my car was never a problem, good wireless, and Soundview Park right next door was a highlight.
I stayed at Aida place for a month and it was a great experience. The place is big, very clean, close to the subways and buses that take you into Manhattan quickly. The area is very quiet even on the weekends and the best part was the apt has a huge balcony that overlook the city. I really enjoyed having a smoke and a cup of tea everyday on that balcony. Aida was also a very nice person who was very easy to talk to. I would recommend this place to everyone and would stay again if the place is available on my next trip to NYC.
Aida was a great host. She was always available, helped with everything I asked for, and was understanding and nice to any trouble I had. The Room is very nice, shower's good, and the apartment is spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed being in the Apartment very much.
Transportation is not top notch. the No. 2 and No. 6 are a 15min walk, but usually you'd take the No. 5 bus. However, it ends up at approx. 12-1 AM, and is difficult to catch a cab that time of night. Walking from the train to the Apt. is not a pleasant experience. That being said, neighborhood is scary but safe. I walked several times during late hours and no one approached me or anything. People on the street were always helpful and polite when I asked for help or directions.
I enjoyed my stay, mostly thanks to Aida and the nice Apartment.
An easy and stress-free stay of 3.5 weeks in a quiet area with quick transport links towards Manhattan and beyond. Christina was always available whenever I needed her and has a lot of NYC knowledge which definitely enhanced my stay. I would happily stay there again.
Christina was a great host. The room was clean and the area was both safe and quiet. I appreciate her providing me with a towel and an iron. There was also wireless internet provided as well which is helpful for me. I would definitely stay at her place again; great price and value for the space and experience provided.
I've worked in the healthcare industry for 20 years.. My passion is caring for people and nursing them back to health. I'm clean, quiet and friendly and will always find my place clean and all ready for your occupancy.
I love spending time with my family, gardening and a good home cooked meal.
