The Space

We have two guest bedrooms in our home's second story and can keep up to three people. Choose between the bright and cheery Palm Room or the cozy and reflective Study Room. The Palm Room has a queen bed, and the Study Room has a twin bed. A bottle of water and some chap stick (a necessity here in the Springs!) as well as some chocolate (a necessity anywhere:) will be awaiting you in the room of your choice when you arrive. You’ll also have free access to our wi-fi.

Jonathan's office is upstairs as well, so if you plan to hang around here during the day, just be aware that he'll be working on the same level as your room.

Your bathroom has double sinks and plenty of counter space, as well as a fully stocked linen closet for your use. Toilet and shower are in an adjoining room. We’ve got a hairdryer for your use, as well as any toiletries you may have forgotten.

I (Rachel) love to bake, and you will most likely have baked goods either on your arrival or for breakfast. There will always be something for your breakfast, and you’re welcome to use our refrigerator for any of your own food. We have an assortment of K-cups that you may use in our Keurig machine anytime.

Target, King Soopers, Whole Foods, Best Buy, and many other shops as well as awesome restaurants are less than a five-minute drive from our home. There are a number of parks and walking trails in our neighborhood as well, and the mountains provide a lovely landscape out our back windows. We’d love to point you to our favorite sites and restaurants if you’ve never been to the Springs before!

You’re welcome to use our brand new washer and dryer. There is a Fitness 17 location within a few blocks if you crave some time at the gym, and with our membership we can most likely get you a free week's pass if you want one!

Please let us know if you have any food allergies. We don’t have pets, so pet allergies will not be an issue.

  • It was an awesome experience. I would say it turned out much much better from what we expected. Both Jonathan and Rachel were very welcoming and friendly. They made us feel like home. Could not have asked for more....

  • This is the first time I had booked a house via airbnb and I must say it was an awesome experience. We were four people and our stay was for 3 nights. Rachel has called us ahead of our stay to find our check in time and was at home. She took us through a tour of the house and made us feel comfortable. The room had water, snacks and chocolates. She allowed us to use the kitchen and had cakes and fruits for breakfast. Rachel and Jonathan helped us with pointers to places of interest and that really helped us as well. They are really nice people who are willing to help and take care of you. I must say they are great company and our stay was wonderful.

The location of the house is good too. There are a lot of stores and restaurants within a 2 mile radius. I'd certainly recommend this place.

  • Jonathan and Rachel were really accommodating hosts and have a really beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. We had a very nice bedroom and bathroom all to ourselves and the bed was so comfortable. Nice amenities including some knockout homemade banana bread for breakfast, among pretty much anything else we wanted. Great people and place to stay!

  • Had the upstairs 2BR/1BA in the upstairs of a very nice home. Rachel and Jonathan live on the main floor. Rachel was very nice and accommodating, and makes an excellent banana bread. Never met Jonathan. Breakfast was cereal, juice, coffee, and "help yourself to anything in the fridge", which was just fine for us. Neighborhood was quiet, but a little out of the way (25-30 min) for the activities we did in Colorado Springs (Pikes Peak, Zoo). No TV but very good WiFi. Would certainly recommend if the location is right for you.

  • Jonathan and Rachel were great about communicating with us before our arrival. Jonathan was a gracious host and showed us around upon arrival. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We were allowed a lot of privacy and Rachel was kind enough to offer breakfast choices in the morning.

  • As first time airbnb users, we could not have had a better experience!! Jonathan & Rachel were beyond amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed and that we felt right at home. Also, Rachel is a fabulous baker who made us yummy treats! We highly recommend them to anyone wanting to visit CO! Thank you Jonathan & Rachel!

  • This was our first experience with airbnb and everything about it was wonderful. The Bells were welcoming and kind. Everything was as it was advertised...clean, well-equipped, and private. Jonathan and Rachel allowed us great flexibility in our arrival and departure. The neighborhood was relatively new and homes were well-maintained. We enjoyed having the double sinks (husband, wife, and adult daughter. The use of the kitchen was an added bonus. We would happily return for another stay.

  • First time doing something like this, didn't know what to expect at all but the communication with Rachel up to the point of our stay was awesome. We were not welcomed by Rachel or Jonathan but it had seemed like they were giving us the best welcome by fresh banana bread sitting on the counter waiting on us that was to die for, one of the best I've ever had (sorry mom). The whole experience was well appreciated and if they will have me again whenever I do visit again, then I have found my home in Colorado Springs area. Thanks again Rachel and Jonathan, your admirer, Clint

  • Jonathan and Rachel's house is great. They weren't around when I visited, but they were really easy to communicate and coordinate with. Their place is clean and welcoming and the view is awesome. Highly recommended!

During the first year of our marriage, we have hosted almost 30 guests and loved it so much, we thought, why not welcome even more? We don't have any children or pets and have plenty of extra space to share. Both of us have jobs we love. Jonathan works as COO at a start-up non-profit called Live 58: whose goal is to end extreme poverty by 2035. Rachel works at Sephora, makeup mecca extraordinaire:) Jonathan has lived all over the US, most recently in LA, and Rachel is from Iowa, but attended college in Florida and spent 6 months out of the last two years in India. She has also travelled to Egypt, Israel, and Jordan and loves sharing experiences with anyone else who has been there. Jonathan loves to cook, and Rachel loves to bake...a pretty great combination :) We'd love to have you join us in hiking, cooking, or just hanging out in the living room getting to know each other, but we're also happy to let you just come and have your own undisturbed space upstairs if that is what you would like.
