Issy is a passionate hostess knowing just how she wants things.
She has run her bed & breakfast for over 30 years, long before AIRBNB existed!
Her country setting is a lovely retreat.
Izzy was great! Very accommodating. the little cabin was perfect for our needs. We brought our dog, who loved staying at the firefly. It was late summer and the temperature in the room was great. The breakfast was also good, there was home made apple sauce, healthy cereal and a variety of milk which was great because we prefer almond milk.
She was helpful providing information for where to get dinner in Bristol as well.
If you are looking for a remote getaway in a beautiful corner of Vermont this is your spot. It does however take 20-30 minutes to drive to any restaurant, FYI.
Thanks for your kind words,Sue , and my most cincere apologies for the dog hair. With so many dog hosting a in our CABIN and the fast turnover ....well, it got a bit neglected and we will be more watchful about it.
About our neighbor: Perhabs you could quickly point out where they are located????
And what their rudeness entailed? It would be much appreciated!Oh, and maybe you missed our Resaurants in BRISTOL which is only 10 minutes from the B@B ???!!
Happy Fall and visit us again.
Issy and her beautiful property were both incredibly charming! She was extremely helpful in guiding us to an amazing local place for dinner and prepared us a delicious breakfast in the morning! We really enjoyed our conversations and time with her and night in the gorgeous rustic cabin!
Issy is wonderful and her cabin is wonderful too! Issy gave us great restaurant recommendations and was extremely accommodating. We had a really fun night and I would definitely stay there again! Hopefully see you soon Issy!
Issy was such a charming host and made me feel right at home right away. She was accommodating, humorous, and I enjoyed our conversations as much as anything. Unlike some hotels or b&b's that offer "continental" breakfast, which is little more than a plastic-wrapped danish and a kick out the door, Issy's breakfasts were plentiful (fresh fruits, cereal, toast, yoghurt, perfectly brewed coffee...). The cabin is a cozy space with everything you would need. (The bathroom is in the main house). I was spending a long weekend in the Rustic Cabin on a sort of writing retreat, but I did get into the nearby town, Bristol, for dinners. The town centre is home to a number of nice restaurants and shops. All in all, I had a delightful time here and highly recommend this host!
Issy, you are a wonderful host, my request was for privacy, and you respected my wishes, for that I am thankful. The neighbors are very open and friendly, nice walks and wonderful views of the mountains. Spent the last afternoon at the river. Just lovely.
I had a wonderful experience, "Cadillac Camping" as you put it, the pond was my favorite spot, if you couldn't tell and the mountain views are spectacular. "SPACE" is what I needed, when I envisioned my get-away, and that was exactly what I got. Thanks again.
I was thrilled to find this lovely cabin at the edge of the woods - an ideal blend of rustic and gentile! The grounds were gorgeous, the cabin was wonderfully private and comfortable, and Issy was a charming host. Thank you, Issy, for your hospitality and your delicious Sunday breakfast!
