Issy was a wonderful host and the cabin was fantastic! Really warm, despite the weather and exactly what we were looking for. Can't wait to return in nicer weather!
Issy is a lovely and bubbly person who is the soul behind all the rooms in the house. She is flexible and such a great sources of great stories!
We've stayed in Sir Rocco's room with our toddler and dog and it was really perfect. The hot breakfast and the continental breakfast are both really nice. We founded that you can find more helpful infos and pictures on Issy's website (website hidden). Be sure to check it out!
If you wish to arrive later than 8pm, make sure Issy is aware of it as she rises early to feed her horses.
Issy is a very lovely and accommodating host. The breakfast she made was delicious home style cooking and just like sitting at mom's breakfast table. We stayed at the Rustic Cabin which was exactly as described - cozy cabin in the Vermont countryside. The bathroom being inside the main house is a super quick walk and not uncomfortable. This cabin was a bit like camping, but with the comforts of home just a step away. We stayed during the winter months and was plenty warm enough with heat in the cabin plus space heater Issy provided. Looking forward to another visit in the summer months!
We had an amazing time at Issy's Rustic Cabin. The saying in her house "arrive as strangers leave as friends" couldn't be more true. We took some wonderful strolls around the area with our dogs. We also stopped by Sugarbush and did a half day of snowboarding. The location couldn't be more perfect. Make sure to check out Bob Cat Cafe and Brewery for great food and beer. This place was perfect for us. Thanks Issy!
Fantastic stay. The cabin is adorable and was so pleasant and relaxing to stay in. Issy is a marvelous hostess and makes a fantastic breakfast. I'll definitely be back.
Wow. We had such a great experience at Firefly. Issy happily accommodated our family- including our 4 month old son and small dog- who she instantly treated as family. She greeted us with an infectious grin and gave us great suggestions for local take out for dinner that night. She gave our pooch free reign of the grounds, which meant so much considering how cooped up she always is at home. She was one happy dog- I'm not sure she wanted to leave with us! The cabin was even better than expected- clean with all sorts of attention to detail, from a flashlight for night trips to the bath, to dvd and video options, as well as microwave, coffee maker and a small bistro table for two. The views are incredible and the little pond is so cute. Breakfast in the morning was superb - french toast, coffee, yogurt, fresh fruit and granola. We loved staying here and wish we had booked longer. I highly recommend the rustic cabin at Firefly.
Issy's breakfasts are amazing. Delicious granola, strong coffee, her special French toast, eggs Benedict...you probably won't need much lunch!
We were there in the early spring, with snow still on the ground, and the cabin was wonderfully warm and cozy. Amazing views of Mount Abraham in the morning and millions of stars at night.
I was impressed by Issy's thoughtful attention to detail--everything you need to make coffee and tea (including honey!) in the cabin, plus plates and utensils if you make something in the microwave. She even left a flashlight out there for us.
I'd definitely stay here again.
