This one bedroom apartment is in the heart of Central London only minutes away from Oxford Street, Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Edgware Road, Paddington, Notting Hill and Harley Street.

The apartment is on the ground floor of a Victorian Period Building in a quiet residential area.

The apartment comprises of a fully fitted kitchen, shower room and a lounge with a sofa bed which can comfortably sleep 2 persons.

THE LOCAL AREA

THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE LONDON AT ITS BEST!!!

OXFORD STREET, the premier shopping street in Europe is under a mile(1km) walk from the apartment. It is one and a half miles(2km) from end to end and is a shoppers paradise. Most shops open 10am until 6 or 7pm. Many also open on Sunday from 12 to 6pm with late nights on Thursday. Oxford Street is best known for Selfridges and the other big department stores which are all found in the section from Marble Arch to Oxford Circus, along with most of the big-name multinationals such as Nike, Primark, Topshop, Apple, etc. It's more of the same towards Tottenham Court Road, but generally on a smaller scale. Oxford Street is said to be the busiest shopping street in Europe.

The section of Edgware Road near to Marble Arch is famous for its distinctive Middle-Eastern character. Lebanese restaurants, shisha cafes and clubs line both sides of the road, with some staying open late into the night. Marble Arch station is a few minutes walk from the southern end of Edgware Road.

Just a short step away from the tourist hordes, the apartment still has the feel of a real neighbourhood, the wealthy residents are becoming ever more attractive as Harley Street, the traditional home of England's best doctors, has recently become the heart of the UK's flourishing plastic surgery industry.

The beautiful architecture (the Wallace Collection is a must) and the open spaces of Regent's Park and Hyde Park make this a fine area to have a wander, when the sun's out there are fewer places in London as scenic and special as Hyde Park.

While Marylebone High Street is absolutely charming, lined with traditional pubs, beautiful boutiques and shops (including the flagship Daunt Books) and excellent local restaurants as well as an impressive mix of hotels - and a farmer's market every Saturday.

A short walk from Marylebone is the home of the most famous fictional detective in the world 'Sherlock Holmes' bachelor flat at 221B Baker Street and the popular waxworks at Madame Tussauds.

  • We are not really happy with the flat at Marylebone. True, it was clean, quiet and quite well located, but also totally impersonal (the keys are in safe boxes) and we never met Carrie. We had a problem with the toilets which didn't work properly, but never got an answer about that (only a short and very late apology). Carrie didn't even know in which apartment we were.The sofa bed is broken, only one adult can sleep in it. Fortunately we were with a 6 years old child who didn't mind. There were not any bulb in the lamp of the bedroom. The check out at 11 AM is quite inconvenient.
    But London is great, and we even had sun !

  • Carrie was prompt in replying to our reservation and immediately reached out afterwards to tell us more about the apartment. The check-in time is rather late (3:00) but there were no problems getting in and the apartment was clean and tidy when we got there. This apartment was small and neat and cozy. It actually is even nicer than the pictures make it look. The kitchen had everything we would need, including a washer;. The only drawback is the tiny shower. But the best part was the location, with is less than 5 muinutes from 3 different tube stations, 12 minutes to Paddington station, and a grreat walk ddown to Soho or through Regent and Hyde Park. We would definately rent from Carrie again.

  • Great location. Nice touch of cereal/tea/coffee being provided. Easy and helpful instructions with directions, how to get in, etc. The unit was nice, clean and cozy but not exactly what we expected. Per our reservation, we were to stay in the first floor unit (CS-1) but then on arrival was told our unit was on the fifth floor (CS-5). Carrie confirmed this was right and we didn't complain or question since we weren't sure there was any option anyway. The higher floor probably was nicer in the end as it had somewhat of a view and was very quiet. This review will probably show up on the unit CS-1 listing but is actually of unit CS-5. Had trouble with the internet instructions not working. Because we were relying solely on wireless internet to communicate (US cell phones that we knew wouldn't work in London) it took nearly 4 days before we had internet access. The person that dropped off another key after we first arrived didn't pass on the message to Carrie about the internet problem. Carrie did reply quickly when we finally were able to email her two days later but it still took two more days to get it working and receive the correct information.

  • Great location.. Walking distance to Oxford street and tubes.. Decent value for money. Very clean and warm. Quite noisy upstairs with young kids walking about at 8 am but if you don't want a lie in its a great place to stay! The host was also very quick to reply to messages and very easy to deal with.
