The Space

This beautiful villa was build in 1876 and is located only 2 minutes away from the beautiful Alster, directly at a side arm, the Feenteich.
Even though the location is only 10 minutes by bus (5 min. walking distance) to the center of town, it is very green and totally quiet. Near by are lots of interesting cafés and restaurants.

My flat, located on the first floor totals1500sq ft.
I am renting out the light flooded, luxurious room (335 sq ft) with the stunning sun parlor (on the picture it is the big window in the middle of the house). The private, newly renovated bath (65 sq ft) can be directly accessed from the room.

The room is furnished with a high-quality sleeping couch which comfortably sleeps 2. There is a wardrobe for your clothes, which was made around 1870, amongst other top quality furniture.
For rentals longer than 6 days, I charge additionally for electricity for the room and the bath.

Now, this should amaze you. In the room is a dolby surround system with a projector and a 12x9 feet screen. It feels like in a movie house.
Free internet access is available.

A beautiful huge modern kitchen open to a seperate dining room can be used for its purpose.

The washing machine can be used for €2 per load.

The second absolutely amazing feature in this place is the garden (10000 sq ft) with a canoe. This can be used at any time.

  • Petra's apartment is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Such a wonderful place to stay in Hamburg. Everything is clean and new and there are loads of DVDs! Petra's kitchen is fully equipped for preparing any kind of meal that you want and Petra was super helpful (and super generous) in helping us find (and letting us use) the right spices or showing us how to use the coffee maker. Petra is very pleasant to be around-- she was always keen to sit down for a bite or a drink and catch up. Also, can't forget to mention, the apartment is literally right on the Alster, with a large canoe to take out a nice day! I couldn't imagine a nicer way to spend my time in Hamburg. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone!

  • We truly enjoyed our stay in Petra s beautiful clean apartment. The room is very spacious with heigh ceilings and huge windows.
The location is perfect, a few minutes from the Alster in a beautiful area of Hamburg and good connections to the city centre.
Petra is a great host. She was very helpful arranging our stay at the last minute. She has also given us some good tips where to eat in the area and how to make the most of our stay in Hamburg.
    We highly recommend her place.

  • My wife and I couldn't have made a better choice for our multi-week stay in Hamburg than to have stayed with Petra on the Alster. The house is classic in it's appointments but modern where it matters. Communication with Petra before and during our stay was superb, and she knows the city as a native, opening many doors to more fully experience Hamburg. We feel that we have gained a new friend and a new city in our list of people and places and can't wait for our next opportunity to visit both once again.

  • My husband and me had a very enjoyable stay at Petra's amazingly beautiful apartment. The room was huge and very pretty - with charming old furniture and decorated high ceiling.
After a long day we were able to relax with our home cinema. A feature which I hope to have in my own apartment one day.
The shared kitchen is a dream as well. Fully equipped and the highlight for my husband was the coffee machine ;)

Easy to access the city centre by bus. I think in summer this place must be most amazing when you can make use of the lake access and garden.
Overall we had a very pleasant stay and a super nice contact. Hope to see you again, Petra!

  • I couldn't have dreamt a better place to stay in Hamburg. Let's start with the house. It is located in a quiet, green street with beautiful villas only a few steps away from the famous Alster lake. Around the Alster you can walk, run, BBQ or have a beer all while enjoying the Hamburg skyline. At the back of the house you'll find a very nice, enclosed garden. There's a canoe with which you can access the lake directly at the back of the garden. The house is characterized by a classical grandeur, both on the outside as well as the inside. The interior is nicely decorated and clean as a whistle. The room itself is very big and bright with a high ceiling and large windows. The projector with big screen is a phenomenal extra to watch your favorite movies. The room also has its own, recently refurbished bathroom and fridge. Petra is a warm, welcoming, intelligent and very nice person who will make you feel at home immediately. She's always up for a chat but also respects your privacy whenever you feel like. There's not a single negative thing I could say about my stay in Hamburg. Petra is the perfect host with a one-of-a-kind place. I won't consider any other option when returning to Hamburg. Very highly recommended!

About
I am a positive happy and uncomplicated woman who loves to meet new people. I am a native Hamburg gal, but have lived in San Francisco for 13 years. I love travelling. I love cooking, so I have a variety on spices that is quit amazing. Other things I love are my son (who lives in San Francisco) wine and cheese and ... I could go on forever. My motto is "say what you mean and mean what you say." I am a straight talker and I like it, when other people are just like that
