The space

You will be sharing the house with us but you have your own space. Two double rooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. A modern family home and you have exclusive use of a small lounge, shower and toilet. We have a spacious garden and plenty of parking room, wi-fi access and continental breakfast are all part of what we offer.

Public transport accessible from outside the house. A bus and train station within 9 miles in the popular shopping city of Newry. The seaside town of Newcastle is a short bus journey away.

Situated in rural setting within walking distance of the village of Hilltown and the impressive Mourne Mountains. There are convenience stores in Hilltown as well as a restaurant, post office, ATM and friendly traditional Irish pubs.

Ideal location for hikers due to it's location at the foothills of the Mournes or those looking to enjoy a countryside getaway. Recently an international standard Mountain Biking centre has opened up in nearby Rostrevor. Also, a local man offers American Western style horse riding tours of the mountains adjacent to Hilltown.

Our local area is 'Newry and Mourne', a quick search should provide you with lots of useful information and events.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Keiran and Ursula. The room was very comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent, and the location convenient for exploring the Mournes. Keiren and Ursula were friendly, generous hosts. Highly recommended!

Kieran and Ursula and their family were the most lovely people we met during our trip to Ireland. They communicated well and when we arrived late in the evening, they greated us with biscuits and tea and made us feel welcome from the very first moment. They gave us a lot of tips of what to do in the area and the highlight was when Kieran showed us the Magic Road. You shouldn't miss out on that :) The house is wonderful and very clean and the view of the Mourne Mountains is stunning. We were really sad we couldn't stay longer and highly recommend a stay with Kierab and Ursula.

Kieran and Ursula made us feel extremely welcome in their home. This is a great place to stay, clean, comfortable and welcoming. It was a home from home which was exactly what we needed after a day in the Mourne mountains. I definitely recommend staying here if you are in the locality.
