My husband and I started an important family visit to Ireland with a short 3-day walking holiday in the Mournes. We chose Kieran and Ursula's B&B because of the location and we were completely satisfied with the facilities. But Kieran and Ursula provided much more than a comfortable bed and delicious breakfast. We were warmly welcomed, and given a wealth of information about local walks and places of interest - Kieran even took us on a "magical" tour. On our next visit, to the Mournes, there is no doubt we would like to stay with this wonderful family again! Thank you, Kieran and Ursula and all the family.
Kieran and Ursula were incredibly accommodating from the moment we arrived in Ireland. We were traveling with our 17 month old, which can always be a bit stressful, but they made us feel at ease and welcome in their home. The room was plenty big enough for the three of us and they even brought kid-friendly cereal for our little boy - so thoughtful.
Full of advice and suggestions on what we could do in the local area as well as on our drive down to Dublin, our time in Ireland was greatly enriched by choosing to stay in Hilltown with this great couple.
We spent 4 nights at the home of Kieran and Ursula. We had a lovely time. The house was big and comfortable and we felt very welcome. Everybody we met was interested and in for a talk. Every morning nice breakfast was on the table and we had al the time we wanted to enjoy the meal.
In the area is so much to do and see. Besides the mountains its a short drive to places near the sea. You can visit places where the game of thrones was recorded. We were lucky to be able to see the Irisch open and a concert of Van Morrison, both nearby. Also 10 minutes to play golf ourselfs on wide parkcourse where we could hire clubs and a trolley. We will definitly come back some day.
Thanks to both Mr Kieran and Ursula for welcoming to not only their house but also to their family. It was an memorable stay for us and will remember this trip for lot of sweet memories.
Appreciate all your love, blessing and affection that will be in our heart for ever.
We arrived late afternoon to Kieran and Ursula's house. They are a lovely, warm couple and we felt right at home immediately. We had our own bathroom and area to watch TV as well as a bedroom for our son and a superstar one for us. Both were very comfortable. The views from the house are amazing! The whole area of the Mourne mountains is a gem and we can't wait to get back to explore further.
Very welcoming, amazing lovely couple who came to find us, offered us drinks and biscuits ( and hot cross buns!) in the evening and great local knowledge.
Daniel and his wife were lovely company. I enjoyed practicing my few words of French and learned they have a Gites of their own at home, so if we get the chance to visit Mt St. Michel which is nearby we will be booking with them on airbnb, a bientot, Kieran & Ursula
