Aunque no me quedé mucho tiempo la recámara tiene una hermosa vista, Wilber y su esposa son muy amables, sociables y super alegres!.
Hermosa zona a un costado de la iglesia en una lomita.
I really didn´t like the stay. There are a lot of nice hostal near by and this place is not the best option you can have in Cali. There was no water and the place didn´t even look close to the picture. Wilber is nice and kind but most of the time he was working so he wasn´t availiable .
I know Wilber from my previous visit to Cali. Wilber is a super Salsa Dance teacher (I took lessons) and he's very helpful and friendly as an airbnb host too. The location of the house is directly in front of a very nice little park and the area of San Antonio is a great location.
I had an awesome stay here. Wilber and Valerie are great hosts, the location is amazing and its a very friendly house. I'd definitely stay here again.
This is a great place to stay. Wilber is a fun, friendly and very passionate guy. He made me feel very at home, and everyone at the house was warm and friendly. The location is great, not far from shops, bars and a lovely park. If you have the chance, takingsalsa lessons with will be very rewarding.
I booked salsa rooms #1 and #5 with Wilber. Shortly before my trip, suddenly Wilber said that we were getting rooms #3 and #5 without any explanation. I gave Wilber the benefit of the doubt. A few days later, I got another surprise message from Wilber asking me if I can forget about staying in room #5 and instead stay together with my friend in room $3 (which I handn't even seen). I explained that airbnb had charged the full price for both rooms and that I was not able to make that decision until arrival. Wilber said ok and ASSURED me that he would give a FULL refund for room#5 if I don't use it. Again, I trusted him so I did not notify airbnb of these potential problems. I should have known better.
Once we arrived, Wilber paid little attention to us. I had to ask him for keys, a map, and other essential things which shoul've been voluntarily explained by a host. Room#5 turned out to be a jail cell space with just a small mattress and a mirror on the ROOF of the house. This space was NOT accurately portrayed on airbnb and in my opinion, even qualified as something that should be listed on airbnb. Obviously, I couldn't stay there and had no choice but to share the other room. When Wilber did not offer to return the $ for room#5, I asked him for it, but to my dismay, the response I got was "not now, I don't have time." After staying just one night, we decided to look for more appropriate accommodations. Wilber REFUSED to give the promised full refund and bargained down the price. Even more drama ensued after that. I've NEVER experienced anything like this.
Living conditions: It was a full house with four other couples. One couple even slept on a mattress inside Wilber's closet! The other guests were very nice but 10 people for ONLY ONE bathroom and kitchen = not hot water, dirty bathroom, and smelly kitchen.
STAY AT YOUR OWN COST!!!
excellent location. Wilder is super nice and helpful.
My room had a great view. No AC, but here was a great breeze.

About the Host, Wilber
About me and my interests:
My life revolves around Casa Salsa!. I am graphic designer and a professional salsa dancer, member of one the best recognized salsa school from Cali and I currently work with hostels and companies as Salsa Instructor.
I'm outgoing and cheerful guy, I love going out to have fun very often so it's nice when one of my guest are able to make me company. I really enjoy seeing my guests being confident to have lots of fun practicing salsa steps at a party.
The house is in the perfect location and Wilbur is a gracious host. The accommodations are more like couchsurfing than airbnb, but I was happy to have a place to stay in Cali.
Private Room and Salsa
Good place to stay at a good price. The historic neighborhood of San Antonio is really nice as well.
I came to Cali will the intentions of staying a month and now I am going on my 5th! If your looking to see the real side of Colombia and learn the different cultures here the Cali is the city to be. Its mix of Spanish, Indigenous and African culture is both interesting and beautiful. I love it here and being in Medellin for a Month before coming here I can say I felt more in Colombia and learned alot more about this country and its culture being in Cali. Wiber, the head honcho of the Casa, is a sweetheart! he goes out of his way to make you feel at home and once you get to know him youll find him hilarious. Hes very geuine and caring to everybodys needs and questions. He also offers salsa classes as he is a proffesional salsa dancer. I am not a salsa man myself but I have watched him teach over the past 4 months and I can say hes fun but also serious and passionate about what hes doing because he wants you to learn. The house is nice and cozy. 4 bedrooms downstairs and 1 upstairs on the roof. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and preparing all your own meals has all the utensils and a 4 burner gas stove. Bathroom has hot water shower. The neighborhood is extremly unique and stands out the most of any neighborhood in Cali. San Antionio has the old Colonial style houses with the church and park right in the midst of all this. From friday to sunday the park and church is full of Colombian familys, street venders, food venders and live shows. People gather at the park to socialize and watch shows. Beautiful atmosphere and gives you a deep feel of the strong family bond in this country. Once you get settled in here the neighbors will start saying hi to you as you pass and if your friendly will spark a conversation with you. Your surrounded by super nice Colombian familys on both sides of the place so its really easy to feel comfortable here. Your also in a great location close to everything from Intercontinental Hotel and Casino, to great restaurants and night life. Everything is within walking distance or at most a 4 $ taxi ride away. Also El Centro is a 5 minute walk from San Antonio. This is the downtown of Cali full of stores, super markets, street venders you name it they have it! This place is the best deal in town and the most confortable. Grasiela is extremly nice and goes out of her way to explain and help people get here. And once your here and if she is here visiting and you need anything she is always there to do what she can. My experience here was amazing and would recommend this place to anybody traveling this way!
Have been taking salsa classes form Graciela and Wilbur now pretty much daily (just finished class #7) and can't believe the progress I have made. If you want a systematic step by step approach and serious about progressing fast in as short a possible time possible, I highly recomend you book at least 20 hours with them, you won't regret it.
