  • This is a really extraordinary place to stay. The position of the cabin right in top of a hill with a beautiful view is simply great. If you like being outdoors, walking, hiking, beautiful forests with rocks and blueberries, making fire and getting a very different feeling of what is really important in life (fire, water, and food) you will love this place.
We got out of a stressful time at home and calmed down in this peaceful surroundings. Having coffee outside on a sunny day was a great pleasure!
Thank you, Havard for sharing this.
    We hope to come back.

  • Fantastic - one of the nicest places I have ever stayed.

  • Simply stunning and relaxing! We spent 6 nights in the cabin and loved every single moment of it. All the basic supplies you need are present and all you need to take care of is your wood and water supplies. Pleasent communications with Havard

  • I just spent 3 lovely, cozy, snowy nights with a friend in Havard's cabin. Havard was friendly and helpful when we had questions, and once we arrived in the cabin, we found it to be exactly the wintery wonderland we were looking for.

We spent our time feeding the fire and cooking, taking long walks in the snowy woods, melting snow for invigorating outdoor baths, or just reading and looking out the window at the amazing view through huge fluffy snowflakes.

I could have easily stayed longer, once I realized how pleasant the walk to the grocery store is, so I wouldn't have to bring so much food with me on the first day.

I highly recommend Havard's cabin to anyone who is charmed by the idea of some peace and quiet on top of a gorgeous, silent forest hill.

I hope to come back again next year.

  • I had a wonderful time in the Cabin! I went there to take 3 weeks off, with no electronic devices, books or music, and to concentrate on meditation practice. It is a great place for retreat, even in winter. Carrying and chopping wood 2 hours every day, boiling snow for drinking water, and enjoying the absolute silence of a winter morning.
It is a very simple place, and good for those who love nature and don't need much comfort.
Håvard is a perfect host: He is friendly, outgoing and very helpful with everything. He came up to the cabin in the first week with his chainsaw, to cut some trees for me.

I will never forget this very special place and time!

    Thank you Håvard, Johannes

  • The Klunken cabin is beautiful place with stunning views. Me and my partner stayed in the cabin for a long weekend and it was the perfect place to get away from it all. I would recommend staying here to anyone and will certainly be back next year.

  • We stayed for six days in the cabin. The equipment was as it was described. Only that the pump didn't function and we had to go for the water to the next source. The cabin itself is really lovely and has a lot of flair. In any case, bring yourself candles or some other light! The next shop is about 1 hours away. Nature is beautifull around and it is unbelievable, that it is so near to Oslo! Highly recommendable for people that can stay without electricity and other comfort. The nature experience compensates this on a high level.

  • We loved this little cabin upon the hill and lost in the forest, with a beautiful view. It's easy to walk in nice paths close to the lake and the cabin. The water pump was dry so it wasn't easy to find some water closely, but we found some in a steam at 30 minutes from the cabin. The cabin will be clean depending on the people before... The stove is really warm and it's easy to cook anything you want. We have rent two sleeping bags and a map to Havard.
It's a magical place, the time just stops when you're up there. If you come to Norway and Oslo, just go there. Highly recommended !
