About This Listing
The place is run jointly by me and by Romeo, my friend and neighbour. When preparing your trip, you will communicate with me, while at the place it most likely be Romeo.
A studio flat in 300 meters from the beach, overlooking steep mountains of Kotor Bay. 20 min drive or bus to Kotor, 30 min drive to Tivat airport, 1.5 hours to Dubrovnik.
Private small bathroom with a shower (NB: it is ridiculously small -- welcome to modern property development style of Crna Gora). An open plan kitchen with a refrigerator, an electric cooker, a washing machine.
Nearby shops: there is a mid-size supermarket and a grocery/fruit kiosk in 2 min from the house. There are more shops and restaurants within about 20-30 min walk (including amazing bakery in Prcanj). If you prefer large supermarkets, the nearest ones are in Kotor (15 min by car) and huge ones around Tivat (20-30 min by car).
Public transport: there are buses to Tivat and Kotor, they run every hour (leaving about 15-20 minutes past each hour). However, if you plan to travel extensively in Montenegro, having a car or a motorbike is more practical.
Kotor is in about 20 minutes away by bus, buses are supposed to run regularly during tourist season. The bus stop is in 3 minutes from the house, next to the beach.
Getting to/from Dubrovnik or Budva will probably require changing in Kotor. Please research the buses timetables (unverified):
We did not meet Ana herself but her very friendly neighboor Romeo. He gave us a very warm welcome even though we arrived a little late. He also helped us out when we needed a docter. He is just so helpful!
The room is clean but a little bit messy. Also the shower is quite small. Nevertheless there's everything you need and we had a relaxing stay! Parking availability next to the house is convenient. In my opinion the room is a little too pricy but Romeo is worth a million!
Hi Melanie, thanks a bunch for the feedback! Usually people are too polite to say anything constructive :-( Updating now the description.
- We'll bring some order in before next season.
- And I had to put the price up, because last summer there were too many (short) reservations.
Highly recommend staying in Anna's apartment. It's about a 15 minute bus ride out of Kotor but it is so worth the extra travel. We were greeted by Anna's family friend Romeo who is just about the nicest guy you'll ever meet. The apartment has everything you need for a short stay and is surrounded by beautiful overgrown gardens and incredible mountains. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location ! We spent 10 days there! Romeo and his mum welcomed us very warmly. The place is perfect, all you need and perfected located : bus towards kotor ou tivat in 3 min walks, the beach too, small markets,...
Prcanj is really beautiful and specially quiet. If you like quiet and authenticity it's perfect nothing compared to the ugly Budva!
I had a wonderful stay at Anna's apartment, which is in a superb location and very comfortable. Communications with Anna in advance were very easy, but what made the stay perfect was the superb hospitality from Anna's neighbors who manage the place in her absence. Romeo, his wife Victoria and his mother Anjelika (sp?) could not have been more gracious and welcoming. They made me feel like a part of the family, offering to share their fruit, local honey and Romeo's fantastic wine. It was a magical experience for me which I will never forget. I cannot recommend this place highly enough based on the hospitality from Romeo and his family. I wish Airbnb allowed more stars for a special experience.
The apartment is in a lovely location. It is a five minute walk to the Bay of Kotor and some lovely little lidos. There are also nice restaurants on the waterfront close by. Anna was lovely, responsive and very helpful. The only downside is that the bed is small and uncomfortable.
Anna's apartment is perfectly located for the beautiful Kotor bay with the beach just moments away. It was equipped with everything needed for our short stay. We were met by her lovely neighbour Romeo and his mother who was communicative and warmly welcomed us. Montenegro is beautiful - thanks Anna!
